50
fucking
dollars
So here it is, the pile of nonsense they gave me, which in my mind, is only worth 50 bucks and not a dime more. Maybe not even.
First shot...the box. Because box.
Second shot is the shirt they gave me. Because shirt.
Third shot is a small stack of stickers they gave me. Because why not?
More to come soon.
Did you buy a Pewdiepie gift basket as well
Third item I got was a metal earth 3d model of a Star Wars millennium falcon. I'm going to attempt to build this Sunday.
Wait.
When was this? Fuck, I didn't know.
A man turns into an empty, hollow shell of his former self
Feminism is yet to affect my life in any way other than by filling websites I go to with crude feminist hate- Jester
I am sorry but I can't not hone in on the thumb situation
Fourth item is a tetris 5 in 1 multi tool. It looks cool but is the biggest piece of shit and totally useless. You can feel at ease giving this to a 3 year old knowing nothing bad will happen to them. I'll keep it on my key chain til then I guess.
Fifth item is Crazy Aaron thinking putty. It's magnetic putty that comes with a powerful magnet. Did a cool snake charmer trick with hanging the magnet over the putty and a piece of the putty came up and followed the magnet as I moved it around. Cool legit shit. 8/10

Just like VSauce!
Sixth item is a DIY paper spectrometer kit. It looks really damn cool and will make it soon.
Seventh item is a Hexbug Scarab. A high-speed, mechanical, beetle-like robot that skitters around. It can flip over when it flips onto it's back. Really fast, really cool. It has a REALLY hard exoskeleton and my cats love to chase it around.
Guess I live under a rock or something cuz I dont know what any of this stuff is or the significance behind it

VSauce is a communicator for science outreach who makes videos for children in the same vein as Bill Nye the science guy. Kind of like IFuckingLoveScience but less lowbrow.
He has a YouTube channel.

There are no bongs or drug references in VSauce videos
You must be thinking of Cheech and Chong

I recall an old old episode where the comments were a shitstorm because there was a bong visible in the background. I'll never be able to find it now, I haven't watched anything on YouTube in ages. I'm too lazy to be lazy.

i got excited at first but then i realized that vsauce is an actual group and not an acronym for vinesauce, shame
Nothing can happen till you swing the bat.

A water bong which had never been used before was visible alongside a chalice (for alcohol) on a bookshelf.
Oh no think of the children.

That's... Still not shit you want to expose young children to.
But you do you.

No, I only bought this to support VSauce. Not a fan of PDP tbh.
lol loot crate is a scam, they just buy overstocked surplus that didnt sell slap it in a box and say its worth X amount of dollars for only X amount of dollars while both companies write it off and make a profit off the dumbasses who buy it.

I'm impressed with two items to be honest. The box was worth it for me. The spectrometer and hex bug are AWESOME.

I didn't buy a subscription ya dork.

I wouldn't show my children anything with that sort of offhand profanity in it, but it should probably concern any parents whose children both notice and recognize a bong on a shelf just because it shouldn't be an object of which they're aware.
I'll do you too. Don't make me do you.
I'm kind of disappointed.
The crap V-Sauce gave you is just as worthless as any other junk crate.

Correct to Shauna, but I see your point Tony - my roommate gets lootcrates and its the same stupid shit; it's different but yeah, the same shit. It's like useless objects #1 #2 and #3; neat object #1; cool thing #1 and 'awesome' thing #1. It's like a formula for a kid's vending machine that comes in the mail.
But Tony, re-read - a "$50 lootcrate to VSauce" is the giftbasket here. I'll hold my rant for the bottom of my post.

No, he not in the same vein for Bill Nye the Science Guy. Bill Nye talks about science and cool shit and does it in a way that doesn't reek of some pseudo-intellectual with a metrosexual personality and a penchant for fast cuts to hide the fact he has no inherent idea of what he's talking about. Bill Nye actually probably fits the bill for the last part of that description, but even my 24 year old friend eats up VSauce1 through 3.
I'll be honest @Shauna, while I think the internet is cool it also opens up the whole commercialism aspect of it all and I would not buy the stuff that comes in the loot crate. The hex spider and Tetris multi-tool seem neat, but I dunno if it's really truly worth a $50 tag.
