Kawajiri bro! I was just rewatching Wicked City two nights ago for the first time in a long time. Didn't notice when I watched it when I was yonger but it really reminds me of Western '80s body horror ala Cronenberg, Stuart Gordon, Brian Yuzna etc. or even John Carpenter's the Thing.
