Been meaning to see it, but been too lazy.
I was embarrassed during the bingo part. I can only imagine how it sounded in the english dub.

love [luvh]
noun : a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person
verb : to feel great affection for (someone)
Let me guess the plot.
A villain shows up who's stronger than every other bad guy ever, and Goku has to fight really hard to defeat him.
Am I right?
Unfortunately, I haven't seen it.
But you know what? Cartoon Network (Toonami) has been airing the Dragon Ball films on Saturday nights recently. They played Broly last night at midnight. I would normally never watch a theatrical film on broadcast TV, but I can't turn down Dragon Ball. If they play it, I'll be sure to watch it. If not, I still want to see it somehow.
I also want to say that I'm glad Toonami actually has at least one good anime now. Most of the stuff they play is boring, melancholy garbage. Like Attack on Titan. Granted, I only watched one episode but it was so fucking boring. It's just teenagers being depressed, killing themselves, and whining. Then we have shows which is just people sitting around in the dark talking 99% of the time. Seriously, Saturday night Adult Swim is depressing as fuck without Dragon Ball.

Holy shit, this guy is super strong!
No bad guy will ever be as strong as this!
This is it, folks!
I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. DBZ movies are annoyingly formulaic.
-Movie kicks off with a bit of hijinx
-"Hello I am the antagonist. We must fight because reasons."
-Goku gets creamed.
-His buddies get in on the action, but they offer no help.
-"GIVE ME YOUR ENERGY"
-Then Goku beats the baddie with some Deus Ex Machina in the form of an ability that Goku will never use in the anime.
I know the fight with Beerus ended in a truce, but overall it stays close to the formula. They also say the movie is canon. But until they actually start the anime back up, it's as good as non-canon.

Shit! To beat this guy I've gotta go train in heavy gravity for ten days, and you're gonna watch it all in real time!
It was great, other than the fact that 2/3 of the movie was nothing but cringe worthy filler centered around Bulma.

Is that Gohan wearing a green wind breaker?

Well I liked it, what was even better is that Akira Toriyama himself considers the movie to be canon, kinda promising that they would revive the series, but I doubt it will happen.
Still, anything would be better than GT or the way DBZ ends the anime.
MEDIC!
ah yes, anime! the sum total of our development as a species and the pinnacle of our modern culture. there's no other medium which even comes close and i mean this in the most offensive way possible

It was okay. A fun watch but nothing more and nothing less. While beerus does look cool and is a matter of fact a cool character, he has some problems. For starters, it isn't really explained why he needs to destroy planets, all they say is its his job. Okay its your job but a job is there to satisfy a need, what is that need? Still, better than a certain pink creature who just destroyed things without rhyme or reason.
The comedy was good too, I remember laughing during some moments. I only wish they hadn't consumed 80% of the movie's runtime.

Serious question here. Did this show get passed on to the younger generations, or are you guys a bunch of twenty-somethings that still watch it?

if it's "okay" for men to watch a show about pink and purple ponies, then I think its okay for them to watch ripped aliens beat the shit out of each other.

Whether or not it "matters" is subjective. I'm genuinely curious as to whether or not younger generations have latched onto the show. You seem to be the one more concerned with whether or not it's something older viewers should be embarrassed of doing. Deep breaths, brohan.

I see my tone has been misinterpreted. I apologize if I came across as offensive. I don't pretend to understand the whole brony phenomena, but I wasn't trying to attack anybody for watching some anime show nor was I comparing it to an animated show about ponies.

Considering Dragonball was remastered and re-aired, I would say the right answer is probably appealing to a younger generation, while making the older fans happy.

I'm more concerned with the fact that there are people who thinks its a big deal on whether or not older audiences should be watching cartoons, I hate this kind of bull crap that have been recycled for ages. If that's not what you're getting at then you should look out on the wording of the post since it can be taken in a different context.
