Shit that was quite sometime ago so i don't really remember, although since some users have had their post count deleted my 1000th post has probably been changed multiple times. It might've been around 5-7 months ago that i reached it.

There are lots of ways to pop your NG cherry, but I don't think it has anything to do with reaching 1K posts.
Making your first reviews in each medium NG has to offer; Movies, Games, Art, and Music.
Getting a reply from the author to ANY of those reviews.
Submitting content that passes judgment.
Receiving a non-spam PM.
Getting scouted, if you're an artist.
Just signing up at all, and POSTING at all in the forums, getting replies, having conversations with users... thats virgin breaking stuff...

Kind of stopped looking at my post count after I hit 1,000. I don't think it was really anything special anyways.
