The part I'm stuck on at the moment is why?

A lot of people don't do shit because they're scared of the consequences so here's what I'ma say to you right here:
When I was younger I climbed the stacked bleachers in PE higher than anybody else, and when I jumped off, I broke my fucking hand, pretty badly. At first I was all "FFFUCK" but then I learned to love having a cast and so I don't regret breaking my hand that was badass I probably could've gotten laid because of my awesome pain if I weren't like ten or eleven
What I do regret is not asking my friend out that one time(s) because even if she said no shit it doesn't matter because I don't even talk to her anymore anyway. But if she said yes who knows what would've happened. So here's the moral bitch:
Make the most out of life because fuck dude, who cares if you mess up just have fun YOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I realize some of this advice can be misconstrued into "shit may as well rob a bank who cares about the consequences just have fun" so I'm gonna tell ya right here don't rob any banks okay

This one in particular has struck a chord with me. I will make some adjustments to better my day to day life and pose this question again in future, see how my perception changes then.

You should live your life the way it makes you happy.
If you like doing nothing for the rest of your life than you should be happy.
I have no idea what happens after death but if you only live one life as one person, you should live that life the way it makes you happy.
And you should be happy with your life and that you will die one day.
Because there are people who never experienced this.
