Ever explored an abandoned place?

I've explored a few abandoned houses if that counts. All of them already broken into and/or somewhat wrecked, and later demolished and replaced by some grand new masterpiece of architecture. Right now they're getting ready to demolish a couple of apartment buildings nearby... next year, and all the back doors have already been forced by some helpful individuals! :D Fun times.

I used to explore abandoned homes as a kid, now I just check out abandoned ruins.

What kind of ruins?

Also, just the word 'ruins' alone made me think about the abandoned cities in China.

In Britain you get a load of old mossy stone houses around hills and what not, those sort of ruins and old dens that's basically a cave.
