Noobie on the loose 2014-11-12 14:05:09

I got my Bachelor of Science Degree from the Art Institute of California- Orange County Class of 2004. There, I deepened my understanding of 3-D animation and overall design.

Software I use:
Max, Maya, Combustion 3, Combustion 4, Plasma, Sound Forge 9, Acide Pro 4, Poser, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photo Shop, Sketch Book Pro 7, Dreamweaver 4, Fireworks 4, and touch a bit on Flash MX, Director MX, Bryce, DVD Lab, DVD Lab Pro, DVD Lab Pro 2, and DVD Menu.

I will post more of my work as I resize the images and learn this new site on where and how to post my works, so please bare with me... LOL...

In this image scene you can see the rough sketch to vectorized to colkorized to finally a modeled Trash Truck called Trashy. Now Trashy is one of many charators/concept toy designs I call Phunsters and I hope to one day see children playing with them along with there imagination.

The sketch I drew in pencil and scaned in which then put to Illustrator to Vectorize from there to photo shop for coloring altho I could of colorized in Illustrator I like the feel of air brush in photo shop. And place both the dumster in my finished scene.
The final image is Trashy which I modeled in 3DS Max along with textures and lighting that I created.

You lost so much personality in the truck from sketch to finished render. Mostly it came out of the eyes, though. Is there any reason your model's eyes and lift are so different from the concept?

Aye but I know what you see and it was a choice I felt that had to be made for no other reason of such other then I didnt want it to look to much like pixzar. Which I been designing said charactors before they had designs of such.

Don't get offended. I like your original render of the trash can character, except it looks too much like the brave little toaster. All of the 3-D graphic stuff dosen't feel or really look like pixar.

I would stick to the 2-D feel as it seems like you have a lot more control over it.
