I only vote for the best, or at least the lesser of the two or more evils.

They say it's better to ruin your vote than to not vote at all.

I've actually never voted in my entire life...
11 years of having the ability that people fought and marched and died for and I could care less. I think its better to be as disengaged as humanly possible thereby having the ability to complain about things while not doing anything about them.

That is typical of most Millennials.

Painbringer please
I'm not even registered. Maybe I'll vote in the presidential if I feel like a true American hero but bleh I could care less. Some old dude on campus asked me if I'd registered a month ago and I was like "Uh I'm 16" and walked away, he just looked at me like I was fucking stupid but I didn't care

Yes. I voted for a third party candidate. Amendment 2 for medical marijuana in Florida is going to be a close one, but it's projected to lose.

I've never voted, but I also never liked any political candidates to begin with.

I voted, but mostly for the ballot questions. The candidates were pretty lame on both sides.

See, I disagree with this. If you either dislike all candidates or you view all candidates as roughly as good/bad as the others and choose not to vote, you have every right to complain. In fact I would argue you have more right to complain than someone who voted in a bad candidate and then complains about the candidate they voted in.
People who make the argument in your quotes tend to be people with a stupid and false notion that everyone is either a Democrat or Republican.
Also in some areas the voting is so skewed to one side or the other your vote effectively doesn't count anyway. Voting Democrat in a strong red state or voting Republican in a strong blue state, for example.

A lot of the time the politicians are garbage. However I always try to vote third party, and if there's a better option to me, I'd vote for the democrats. My family voted for obama in 2008, but I convinced my bro to vote for Gary Johnson in 2012.

Ah, voting.
I don't know, man-- doesn't seem like something that's worth it.
Vote, or don't, Either way it isn't a bad or a good decision.

Congrats on convincing him to waste his vote. I hope idiots learn to throw away their votes more often.
