Do it if you want, but don't do it because you want to lose wait. Eating a diet of lean steaks and meats with vegetables for a couple weeks is a great way to lose weight, and in order to get the needed protein in a vegan diet, you may end up taking in more carbs than you need, adding weight.
Being vegan is fine, however, and if you feel that it's right, go for it, although don't do it for weight loss purposes, because you will most likely be dissapointed.
Dont go vegan. You'll become a grade A prick.
I am hilarious and you will quote everything I say.

Trying to go on a one food diet is a crappy way to lose weight. You might actually lose weight that way, but you will harm your health doing it. I mean, you could lose weight eating nothing but deep fried Twinkies, but its a bad idea. If you want to lose weight in a healthy way and keep it off the best way to do it is to eat a varied diet and exercise. Feel free to eliminate useless foods that have no nutritional values, like candy or lard, but the rest should stay in at least some amount.
It is possible to be a Vegan and do so in a reasonably healthy way, but you have to be extremely careful about making food choices to balance out your diet. Vegan diets generally lack certain vitamins and nutrients, so you need to be careful about making sure you get enough. Try to be realistic about it though. If you're not willing to go to all that effort to maintain a healthy Vegan diet this is probably a bad idea.

Muscle is meat. You are the meat industry.
I'm a heterosexual white male, naturally I agree with the meat industry because I have no morals or empathy.
How many vegans does it take to change a light bulb? None. Everybody knows they can't change anything.
What is the Native American word for vegetarian? "Shitty hunter"
How many vegetarians does it take to eat a cow? One if no one's looking.
Veganism is 100% unnecessary
what i did is replace everything with ramen

Why do you feel this way? Please actually elaborate instead of throwing out insults like what people who can't backup anything do.

Unnecessary how?
Like eating meat is unnecessary because it's not vital to survival. But some choose to do it because they like the taste and that's cool.

You might want to start writing out your will.
vegans are the superior humans. everyone knows that.
vegan haters are pretty much terrible at everything really, so i wouldn't listen to them.
or you could eat less, eat more healthier like lean meats, grains and veggies and exercise.

Because going out of your way to avoid meat doesn't really have that major of an effect. All the people who say that it decreases your chances of getting heart disease are just full of it because the only way to risk heart disease is if you eat a pound of raw meat a day.
It's unnecessary to cut meat out.
Uhm, well going vegan entails more than just diet.
So if you're just looking to change your diet, that's called a plant based diet or being vegetarian.
Going vegan would be you taking a moral stand against the use of nonhuman animals for your own pleasure. This would include more than diet considering that our use of nonhumans reaches much farther than just the food industry.
Just like any choice out there, it's up to you.
Given that most (not all) users are not interested nor have seriously looked into the matter for themselves in terms of morality or nutrition, there isn't a great presence of knowledge on such a diet/ethical stance, and it is unlikely you'll be able to get unbiased feedback. Just the same as if you asked a group of vegans if you should go vegan.
Most people often view it as a radical lifestyle, because crazy-ass organizations like PETA and ALF practice some very misguided campaign and scare tactics. The same goes for the vegans online who bully others in the name of veganism (bizarre). They're not the name and face of veganism, but this tends to be people's idea of what a vegan or vegetarian would act like, even though that is clearly a generalization. We tend to let ourselves get wrapped up in negative thoughts about certain subcultures simply because it's just easier to do so. It's less consideration on our part. Easy on the brain.
My point is, I think you should do some research on the matter. Perhaps speak to a doctor who is familiar with plant based diets. It often happens that people end up getting in over their heads, because they're idea of such a diet is probably a salad for breakfast , lunch and dinner. Which is silly, but it's how most vegetarians or vegans are portrayed in the media so it's no surprise this happens. Most vegans I know don't even like salad. Just an FYI.
Anyway. I encourage you to look beyond the opinions of Newgrounds and fully educate yourself on the matter. Use critical thinking and look at what everyone is saying, even those speaking out against it. Make your own educated decision, because as I said, IT'S YOUR DECISION.
Good luck!
Go ahead and do it if you want, just don't make the change all of a sudden, your body will get messed up if you suddenly stop eating your daily dose of meat/milk/sugar/whatever.

Yes it is, we're omnivores, not vegetarians.
We're omnivores, meaning we can survive on food provided by the earth and the flesh of other animals. As most other omnivores. Only thing is we can't survive on flesh alone. So we are not carnivores like some people like to say. ^_^;; Most land mammals are omnivorous or herbivorous. I would need to look at the statistics again, but I believe it's approximately less than around five percent of all land mammals are carnivorous, or survive on mostly meat.

Good point. Most of our leading health organizations and dietetic associations have clearly stated this in their annual reports. But it's not often touted. Kaiser Permanente, one of America's leading health care providers actually recommends plant based diets to all of their patients; old, nursing, athletic, pregnant, breast feeding or adolescent. It's just not advertised in big shining lights.

Can confirm. Am vegan.
Can also confirm that salad is low-tier vegan food. Vegans have a lot of dietary options. There are even more options if you cook your own meals, which is usually healthier anyway.

I think its going to be pretty hard to go from being a meat eater to a straight up vegan. If your that motivated then fair play but my own advice would first be to look at your diet and what changes you can make that aren't too big. I know a lot of guys who just quit drinking beer to drop severe amount of pounds. If you like fizzy drinks then cut them out. Keep your diet how you like it but lose some of the crap. You'll see results.
Of course if you do really want to stop eating meat then good luck to you. It will help, just as long as you substitute well.
Otherwise when it comes to dieting, ultimately it always about eating less and moving more. You don't need to go mad here.
If you need to lose weight just do crossfit and talk about that instead.

Starving yourself isn't the proper way to lose weight. Believe me I tried it, it works for a while but as soon as you eat again you put the weight back on,

I laugh at crossfitters, and not vegans, because kipping pull-ups is the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Choosing the right food is also very important, but nobody can agree on what the right food is so, in many cases, saying that is like saying "suck less". I'd like to say cut down on processed foods, simple sugars, and fat, but I am also 16 years old so nobody should ever listen to me about anything.
