Am I the only one who hates switching vehicles? I'm used to driving an SUV, and if I drive anything smaller, it just feels awkward. Like, it feels like I have to put more pressure on the gas and brakes on a smaller car if I wanna make it perform that said function then I normally would on an SUV,.

I always feel like a road hazard switching vehicles.

I've gotten kind of used to it but there's always that period when you switch cars where you try to drive the wrong car at first. You'll be fighting with the wheel wrong and you won't be accelerating correctly and you'll just be terrible at driving for a minute until you get a hold of yourself and realize you're driving a different car

All in all not even a better car can make driving not fucking awful cus you have to get used to it first, fuck driving

I use to help one of my cousins deliver cars back and forth form auction yards, and yes it was a bit awkward at times going from SUV, or truck to a sedan, or coup and really feeling the difference in brake pressure and acceleration power

Afterwhile you adjust, but it is awkward until you get the hang of it

My main problem is that the brakes and accelerator just feel too loose. Though, that could be because I drive mostly shit cars.

I don't mind it at all.
I work in an autobody shop, so I'm constantly getting in and out of loads of different vehicles, and parking them.
It's pretty awesome, there's a pretty large straight-away at the shop, and I open the throttle, and cruise up like 60km in the parking lot in other people's Cadillacs and Acuras.

I crashed once.

The only time I don't like switching from driving one car to another is if the gear shifter is going from being on the floor to being on the column. And vice versa. It's always awkward for me because if I'm used to driving with it on the floor (like my Riviera) and then switch to driving my Ranchero (which has it on the column) I'll keep reaching down to shift instead of directly in front of myself.

I've never driven a vehicle like that, besides when I was getting my instructions from a DMV chick.

Dude, no, stop.

When you're used to driving a small car and then suddenly get into a truck that's twice as big, with more power, a different wheelbase, turning radius, etc, it can be uncomfortable.

Stop being a douche all the time.

Not really, people do it all the time. If it's really that hard you really shouldn't be driving to begin with.

Hard? No. Strange? Yes.

Yes, I tell people they are mentally handicapped for illegitimate reasons all the time.

Well, there never is even a legitimate reason to use disabilities as insult but what do I know.

Ok. I have a newflash for you, we kind of try to get along here, this isn't a clusterfuck site like 4chan or something. You always have something rude to say to somebody. Basing on the fact that you used mental handicaps as an insult, I'm not even sure you're old enough to drive and think you just came into this thread to spew shit out of your mouth, as per usual.

That's all I have to say though, I don't need to get in trouble today lol.

For which? Floor or column shift? When I was in drivers ed we had these vans that had the shifter on the dash. It was sooo fucking weird man. I'm never getting a car like that.

Oh, my bad. I've always had the gear shift behind the wheel. I guess when I start shopping for a car soon, I gotta pay attention to the location of the gear shift.

I used to ride on a Batavus personal bike but my bike got stolen.
That week I got 2 new bikes; 1 was an old school bike with a broken pedal and the other was a Giant bike that got stolen in the same week.

It's annoying because I like cycling from my village to the city for hours and now I can't do that because my current bike's chain can't handle me.

Okay.

Yeah thats a real important thing to look at. That and the locations of anything else that'd be needed whilst driving.
Ya know like windshield wipers, headlights, turn signals, hood and/or trunk release, if the car has cruise control, if it has a specific button inside to open the door to the gas tank, mirror controls, how to turn on your high beams, etc.
Also. If you're getting a new or used car be sure it comes with an owners manual. And if it doesn't look one up online for it. Trust me. It will definitely come in handy sometime down the road to have that on you.

Yeah that is pretty important. Any specific car make or model you looking for exactly?

Can't imagine it'd be worse than mine. I get maybe $700 a month due to working only 3 days a week and getting $8.75 an hour.

Anything 10k or under.

If thats the case try looking for a really cheap semi reliable car til you have money saved up so you can afford a better one.
Though be sure to be prepared for any unexpected things happening to the car (brakes failing, heads cracking, needing to replace coils, etc) because that stuff tends to add up if left unfixed. Hell I need to get rear shocks on my car but can't afford to get em on at the moment. I HAVE them but it's going to be another like $500 to have them put on the car. And I just shelled out another $400 to get brake lines replaced and have the front shocks replaced. I also still need new tires for it, get the ac and heat fixed, and get the driver's side door panel put back on all the way.
The car was only $900 and it's 22 years old. It is not a new car. There is clearly going to be some things wrong with it.

A car for under 1,000? I'll take it. :P
Btw, the job I'm getting is with a bunch of people who look like they've been doing drugs for 20 years, and also, according to my mom, who also works there, there's like 3 guys there who own 6 dogs each and smell like shit.

But hey, as long as I'm getting paid, not to mention I'm getting work experience, because, you know I need SOMETHING on my resume for when I join the police force. It's going to be minimum wage, so that's about 8.75 + tax reduction.
But atleast I'll be doing something outside my house. I'm going insane on being on this PC for 24/7.
