1 - Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
and before anyone says SoM was too easy..... this game was meant to be played in style, not in manipulation.
Going to be a Nostradamus about it and just say that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth ( releases on November 4th) will be my game of the year 2014.
Mario Kart 8 for me, so far.
Fingers crossed Bayonetta 2 or Binding of Isaac: Rebirth will be even better.
Still need to get Wasteland 2 played as well.
Right now it's Mario Kart 8. Although I have a feeling it'll be Inquisition once it comes out.
I've gotten the most fun out of Shadow of Mordor so far, albeit I don't play videogames a lot these days. Been enjoying The Evil Within lately but whether or not i'll bother ever coming back to it after I beat it remains yet to be seen.

Wolfenstein for me. Just overall fun ass combat and an amazing story imo that's pretty lengthy. The evil within might surpass it for me once I beat it though.
Mordor is definitely a runner up, but the shitty, almost non-existent story keeps me from considering it as a contender.

well maybe part of the destiny budget went towards paying for a GOTY award.

Have only played three games that have come out this year. Ass Creed 4, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and South Park: Stick of Truth. All which I thoroughly enjoyed, with Ass Creed 4 being best out of them and MGR:R being the most insanely fun . SP: SoT was fun but it really lacked replay value once you realize that class doesn't matter at all in the end.
