As much as we often complain that too many submissions are being saved in the Portal these days, the overall quality of submissions has gone up. I have a feeling that a lot of users who first visited years ago are now in art schools and studying animation. They're the ones who return years later with things they made in school like:

Calarts strikes again. Can't argue with quality though, and yes its nice that people come back and post stuff like that , its newgrounds's main strength and weakness , no one is ever too good or too bad for Newgrounds.

As I said, I have been here for a longer time than my account has. I would say I have the right to judge quality here. But I'm not, so that comment probably shouldn't be here- I did not judge quality.

To bad it doesn't matter the artist who do good get over shadowed by the big mains who get the spotlight, and they barely get any seeing as Newgrounds has been in decline since 2008, a large amount of content makers have gone to Youtube because they have greater exposure and more money from ad revenue. Newgrounds hasn't been relevant for quite sometime due to the fact of management it always seems this place is behind on crucial features, and the fact that they are going with this SFW bullshit isn't helping since Newgrounds was born out of controversy and made it so appealing, with every so called "update" its two steps backwards one step forward, hell we don't even have a separate mobile site and every other major media site has one.
this place is going the way of albino blacksheep and YTMND, becoming obscure and irrelevant.
