I didn't say SCTE3 in specific, because all mods suck, and I don't need to "grow up" any more than the immature troll that can't stop stalking me around the BBS.

TSStudios aka DannyJay posted a thread about meeting Tom Fulp in June 2008, and it was followed by tons of fat jokes, comments about his breasts, etc. TSstudios made a lot of topics in the months and few years after that topic where people said he was an attention whore, called him fat and made fun of his man breasts, etc. He threatened to commit suicide, he ran away from home, and also went on trips to LA from his native New York and trips to Italy, the UK, and Denmark all during that summer in addition to the other incidents that happened in his personal life and NG life.

Within 20 minutes, the police were already informed and tom got captured by the men in white. For 5 years, there hasn't been any word on the bloke. I would think by now he'd be free.

Sometimes, kids aren't as incompetent. Look at another NG user: Jeff Weise. Bloke killed nearly a dozen people about a decade back.

I think the overall winner for funniest derailing of a thread I've ever seen still goes to this.

Dunno if you'd count it as a full-blown shitstorm though. If you want something that really did involve people raging hard, then this one is pretty good IMO.

Also, there's an old newspost dedicated to hilarious threads. Sadly, the guy who was in charge of it has gone inactive and never passed it on to anyone else, but for classic threads, there's no better collection.

The Dovahkhiin1994 (6 thread series) saga. It was less of a shitstorm and more of everyone having a collective "WTF OP?" while watching OP try to say everyone else was a piece of shit for not having the mindset. Needless to say, I ended up driving them away with cold hard facts they couldn't swallow due to all the daddy issues stuck in his throat.
