Turns out that this is an already confirmed Death Battle.

Since the next Death Battle has Hercule/Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball I assume that he's going up against Dan from Street Fighter, just like in One-Minute Melee.

After some research I came up with this matchup:

Khorne from Warhammer 40,000 versus Asura from Asura's Wrath.

~ They both are gods of fury (technically Asura is a demigod, but it counts)

~ Both are practically the biggest badasses in their universe

~ Both are powerful enough to take on the gods and win (Asura has killed a creator god)

~ Both favor close-quarters combat (it's a grey area for Khorne since the lore isn't fully consistent between each installment of Warhammer)

~ Both share several tropes

Metallix from the Super Mario Bros. Z reboot vs Ultron from Marvel.

And yes, I know this Death Battle won't happen until the Super Mario Bros. Z is finished, or at least story arc that involves Metallix is finished.

Also, if either one of these two does appear in Death Battle, it better be a fully 3D battle....

I just found about about this Golden Bat guy today, so I had to make this. His U.S. name is Phantoma, but I'm going with the translation of his Japanese name anyway.

The Golden Bat is the very first superhero with superpowers. He has many of Superman's powers as well of magic powers on top of that. As a result he's actually the most powerful of the Golden Age heroes, even surpassing Golden Age Superman.

Now I want to see how the new version of Superman can fare against the Golden Bat.
