don't you mean Bernie mac? eddie murphy isn't dead
I guess if one of the actors/actresses is dead or is in a bad personal state (example: currently hospitalized, alzheimer's, etc...) and you really liked that actor/actress then watching their older movies might be a bit sad if you're thinking of the person and not the character.
Also, if it includes real footage from real world tragedies, maybe it could be sad depending. I could definitely see that.
Otherwise though, I just don't understand this getting sad when bad stuff happens plot-wise to fictional characters/etc... Sometimes I laugh even though if it was a real event I definitely wouldn't. I guess it's the being able to distinguish fantasy from reality, and maybe some people aren't as good at that as others? Whereas I don't get emotional with fiction. Sorry.

Monty Python's Life of Brian is pretty fuckin' sad.

You mean like.....9/11?
Wake up sheeple.
While some of the story seemed shoe horned in for this movie it's enjoyable for what it is.
