I'm curious to see the demographics of NG.
I've always pictured NG as a place where pasty white men come and post about their usele- I mean cool interests. But I'm curious to see how white, or black, or Asian, or whatever this site is.

1) Why would this fall under Arab? Last I checked, Afghanistan was not located in the Arabian Peninsula. Yes, you always here the Mid. East/Cen. Asia region being called the "Arab World", but this doesn't mean everyone living there is Arabian. Some Arabs live in Afghanistan. Some Afghans speak Arabic (most don't). I personally find it a bit annoying when people call me "Arab", though.

2) No, I'm not white. Both my parents are Afghan (I was born in Nashville). I'm just pale because I don't get out as much as I should (que the internet nerd stereotype).

Afghans are Persian. Which means they're usually a bit light skinned and CERTAINLY not Arabs.

I just looked it up and you're right. Even though lots of people clump it together in the Arab world.

It's just not a good test. You left out most of the races but yet somehow felt the need to distinguish when it came to Asians ... very unusual.

Also, If 20 Mulattoes picked both black and white, then I'd have no clue weather 20 whites and 20 blacks took the test, or just 20 mulattoes took the test. Judaism is a cultural identity and a religion, not a race. Most Jews are racially white or Middle Eastern, so they should pick white or Arab. If they don't want to pick either of those, they can just choose "other".

I could have included every tiny little group there is. I could have sat on my computer and typed out every single African tribe and every tiny little Siberian ethnic sub-group, but I don't have that kind of time. This is just a quick little poll for an internet forum, not the official American demographic census.

Then you don't know how to make a proper test. There's no reason you shouldn't be able to distinguish between 40 people, each of which selected either white or black, and 20 people who each selected both white and black. Just use percentages. Also, define "pure races" without sounding like some kind of racist supremacist. Go on. This outta be good.

Jewishness is cultural, religious, and racial. If you're going to include Arab as a race then also include Jewish as a race or you're going to come across as extremely racist. You maybe should have chosen the term Semitic instead of Arab if you wanted a term that included Jews.

Yeah. And? My point is it seemed a very specific thing when you didn't care at all about any other races. But strangely Asians got special treatment? Almost as if you're Asian or part Asian yourself and were biased in favor of distinguishing among Asians but didn't care about, for example distinguishing between Arabs and Jews even though those two groups absolutely do not identify as the other and generally hate each other. It was strange to see something so specific when the rest of the test wasn't.
