Dogs have always been the best pets. They are fun to play with and can be taught ticks, provide security, posses superior loyalty, and will defend their master to the death. Is there any pet that can rival a dog? Ever post here will be in support of dogs as the best pet.

That's an opinion. There is no "best" pet.
Although you gave many arguments, I wouldn't give you a diploma for your thesis on dogs.
Requiring me to post in your thread only if I agree with you is censorship and also the obvious refusal to hear others' opinion.
Opening yourself to others' opinion is one of the many steps that can help get that head of yours out of your ass.

anyway I'm not a pets person myself but I prefer dogs to other pets. Dogs tend to just chill so long as you feed them and whatever
I like cats. They're also loyal, yet independent. One can trust a cat to go out by itself and still come back to ones house without one constantly making sure it doesn't run away. Also, no need to walk them twice a day and they manage to feed themselves through hunting mice etc.

My dog (a German Shepherd) seems to ignore me more often...of course, my parents give her more attention outside of dinner time (I provide her food, and she goes to me for it).
When my brother went on a camping trip, he left me to go to the house and water the flowers, feed the fish, and feed the cat. Once I did everything, I heard a noise that had a "meow" to it. Biscuit (the cat) wanted my attention, and I pet him and gave him some treats before I left.
My mother is allergic to cats, so she sticks with dogs.
In the end, no dog or cat is alike, so how yours reacts depends on its own personality. In the end, there is no "best pet" between the two.
Feel no mercy for me. It will only cause you to suffer as well.

I'd have to correct you if you had said that cats were the best pets. Cats are evil balls of hair which only care about people as far as their capacity to provide food goes. They also poop in boxes (something they have in common with @Goryblizzard) and leave dead things around your house.
They try to tell you that cats are cute and useful for hunting mice, but those are just pitiful excuses cat owners give to explain away their plebeian taste in pets and general ugliness. Nobody actually wants a pet cat. They're just stuck with them because people will think they're heartless if they take their horrible cat to a shelter.
