Somehow I don't think so. Just because most people are pretty stupid doesn't mean we are steps away from some apocalyptic future. I mean it might, but its just as likely that any number of other things will happen. Stupid people tend to not be too great at big projects and since most people are stupid and getting rid of all men is a big project I just don't see it happening. Then again you don't need many smart people to pull off a genocide so....I really don't know, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Take sex out of it for a second. Imagine ok that all the players involved are men. Do you really still believe they are the same?

In the first case there is some shoving, attempts to land a few punches and some definite kicking out while being held back from a third party. The intended victim has no injuries. In the second case, there is two cut punches to the head knocking the second party clean out.

Besides the fact that in the first story there is something we are clearly not being told. After all how can Beyoncé just stand there and not intervene when her sister is trying to hit her husband. Fishy situation that one.

Anyway anyway, its not a competition. You shouldn't be hitting anyone FULL STOP, the whole 'man vs woman' thing though is that women tend to be the weaker parties, as you can clearly see in the Ray Rice video. That is why its a big fucking taboo because women do not having the same strength at men. Not nearly.

No one should be hitting anyway but when a man knocks out a woman unconscious yeah its a bit more of a big deal. If you think that is sexism then you are focusing on the wrong issue from the event. My god.

Because it can't be said enough: Nobody should be hitting anybody.

That being said, if someone continues to hit me and won't stop, I'll hit back in defense regardless of their gender. There's many thresholds that would have to be crossed for that to occur, but at the end of the day if I'm being attacked continuously i'm going to respond for my own safety.

It should be as simple as that, but sadly it is not. Maybe one day.

Hitting anyone makes you a complete cunt, male or female. If you're willing to physically assault someone, you should be prepared to get hit back. Having a cock and balls, or a vagina and boobs does not make you immune to this.

See, there's kind of the problem in itself:
If someone is enough of a shortsighted moron to instigate physical violence against someone else who is obviously stronger than they are, then they really shouldn't get to moan about the result. And they REALLY shouldn't think their gender makes a damn bit of difference to what sort of repercussions their actions have. If you're that stupid - male or female - you deserve all you get.

The way I see it, hitting a person who is extremely weaker than you (physically) is wrong. I don't care if it's a girl or just a small guy. It's just douchebag behaviour. But then again I have some bizzare views on gender/sex - I believe that we're all lumps of concious flesh and for some reason we designed these complicated social structures and shit so we should just look at the facts when it comes to bullshit like hitting a girl vs hitting a guy. By facts I mean - how much does the person weigh, how much can he bench/squat/deadlift, is his body fat low/high. By making these calculations you can decide whether it's OK to hit a person. If your strengths are similar, then yeah you can beat the shit out of him (or get beaten the shit out of).

We should (and almost always do) judge incidents of violence on two standards:

1. Was the violence necessary (self defense)?
2. Does the attacking party have a clear physical advantage over the attacked?

While in most cases, the violence is not necessary, it just so happens that more often, in a case where a man hits a woman, or even when he is being hit by a woman, he has the physical advantage. I assure you, if Jay Z was in any kind of physical danger, people would have looked at it differently.
