OK I am not going to even believe for a second that he contributed anything to the stuff he's submitting. He's posting music from various artists, some less known than others, and often changing the name of the song he's uploading. He claims he "helped" for some of them, but given that his grammar is poor at best, and he has no other social profiles to help his legitimacy. He's a thief and a liar, and it'll take a lot of project file screenshots and testimonials from the original artist on his end to make me believe otherwise

I know of Soundhound; I don't use it though so I don't know if it's good or not.

I use Shazam and SoundHound! I have them as apps on my mobile. They're braindead simple; just play the song you want to identify on your PC, load up the app, hit their "listen" button, and after a few seconds, they'll tell you if they identify the track at all. If they do, they'll give you links to videos of the track and the full name/artist. They both have pretty extensive databases and rarely mismatch songs, plus SoundHound even identifies humming/melodies! They're fantastic pieces of software.

Spam the thread by all means. Big lists are kinda daunting and if you submit them gradually as you find them it makes things a lot more manageable for us. The only consequence of spamming the thread is that it'll often get bumped, but I am certainly not against having the cleanup thread at the top of the forum anyway...

The samples used are used with permission. Evidence to this effect was provided to the mod that initially banned me. I was immediately unbanned, rescouted to the portal, and apologized to. The mod was very civil, and actually did his/her research before making the decision to unban me.

The license on the samples used is made clear to all that bother reading the description on the youtube video of the song, and remixes aren't just allowed, they're encouraged.

I understand trying to protect a musician from potential copyright infringement, but at least do your research before outright accusing someone of copyright infringement.

Are you paid by these artists to report POTENTIAL copyright infringement?

I genuinely have no issue with you reporting actual infringements, but there should be some sort of source cited when accusing someone of breaching copyright, which is a LEGAL MATTER.

Just earlier this month, the rules were wery different. No unoriginal content was allowed (permission for useage from the origina artist or not). The user H20Studios had every right to report the submission in question.

However, Copyrighted sampling is now allowed. Make sure you select the proper licensing and attributes in the project settings. (I have taken the liberty of correcting the song in question for you this time).

I think this is borderline, but still falls within "cover". IMHO her songs don't warrant removal. All that is needed is correcting the licensing attributes. What do the other audio mods think?
