Things you like with bad fanbases

Title pretty much says it all. What are some things you like, personally, but are almost embarrassed by it because the fans are just raging idiots that it hurts you.

For me it's Cyanide and Happiness. Youtube comments on their shorts make me cringe.

Not even being edgy here, I love the spirit of Newgrounds, hate the userbase.

Harry Potter fanfiction writers and the sheer amount of shitty slash stories which litter fanfiction.net (you'll also notice that alot of the self-proclaimed ones are all female)

You read some of them and you can't help but laugh at how bad they are or the concepts they present.

At a whole the gamer community which is a bit unfair since it is a very large and divide one. But recently gamers are not just being associated with shut-in nerds, but as violent, bigoted, misogynist assholes, and not without good reasons. So in today society I'm not afraid to admit I'm gamer because it's "nerdy" or "uncool" but because the term is associated with scummy people.

There's a good number of things that I like that are ruined by stupid "fans".

Being a fan of teams known for having bandwagon fans and ungrateful hypocrites for starters (yeah, you know one of those particular teams), then you have weeaboos giving anime fans horrible reputations through ignorance and sheer stupidity. Also, just don't get me started on Googletards (Google asskissers who pumps everything Google have done, especially the mutilation of YouTube) and I enjoy using that search engine, but the service have gotten horrible lately, these people need to realize that not everything they have done is good.

So yeah, there are plenty of things that I liked gets ruined by idiots.

I mean I liked the guy because of how he acts out the reaction that he read from the internet. The thing is that there are reviews that anybody would disagree with but there are idiots who would agree with everything he said. Sometimes it does lead to bit of an issue when some of the fans thinks he hates Robin Williams and calls him a hypocrite for making a video tribute of the guy, ignoring the fact that Doug (NC's real name) stated that he didn't hate the guy and happens to be a fan from the start (comedic influences video is a proof of that).

You should have seen the "Dethroning Moment of Suck" page, there are a bunch I agreed with and there are a bunch that comes across as petty and whiny from idiots who didn't get the joke. The Family Guy examples was probably the only one where they have most of the examples that I would agree with but I think page is created just so some idiots would went.

You know the Robot Chicken example where one user complains about the Spongebob and the Krusty Krab food skit? I figured it to be a gag on Soylent Green but I guess this fellow didn't.

Doesn't mean you are bad,

just a good majority of the fanbase are obnoxious, offensive, or otherwise just plain braindead...
