GBA ---> GC connectivity?? Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles + 4 GBA's + 4 friends who have no lives = $$$$$
It seems like a worthless gimmick to me, it all seems like Nintendo is either being lazy, or are in some kind of horrible debt, have you seen the new Nintendo Classic games on a GBA? Its a GBA, that only plays ONE game, would you pay $20 for the original Mario Bros? I wouldnt, I would have put all those classics on one regular GBA cart and had a sweet compilation, but for some reason they decided to make about 15 different $20 machines that play ONE game?? What the hell??? Im losing faith in Nintendo by the day, Im glad I dont buy their products much anymore.
The only Nintendo stuff I buy is for my old NES. Games usually cost one dollar, can't go wrong there.
It would mean quite the opposite if they would finance all those gimmicks.
They should know that almost nobody is going to buy them. But for the people that do want to buy them, then why not?

I understand its a good investment if your dying for the days of old, but for $20 you can buy an original nintendo, 2 controllers and maybe 10 games. It all seems so stupid...
I think they are. The same goes for Microsoft and Sony. Let's start with Microsoft's situation:
Microsoft is losing massive amounts of money on the Xbox. After its release, the price has dipped over $150. Games have been on the internet to download for a long time. Microsoft also faces major competition from Sony's PS2. The console itself is a computer, and it can be hacked with a soft/hard mod to actually function as a PC. Microsoft is currently relying on consumers to use its Xbox Live! service and to purchase as many games and hardware components as possible.
Sony also has problems in the console market. The PS2 has fallen in price by a large margin. I am sure that Sony is losing money on the PS2. However, they have to keep the console on market in order to keep their foothold in the consumer's wallets. Sony is able to continually support the development of new PS2 games because of revenues gained from other sources, such as the popular MMORPG Everquest.
Was that insightful or what?
you didn't see nothing, capisce?
Im still a big fan of nintendos work if its either on the nes the snes or even the gamecube, If a good game comes out im buying it. Oh and i dont know if nintendo is going downhill really there are many clues to if there were but i still dunno
I thought Sega was going to do well with the Dreamcast. It was awesome. It beat the crap out of anything else at the time, and it was much more affordable.

I love my Dreamcast, mostly because of the fact that you can download and burn the games for it.
Even if consoles someday fall, atleast PC's own.
Wait, wait, you mean a large international corporation is trying to make MONEY?
God forbid they should do that on a regular basis, no, they'd only do it if they were having problems.
Oh, and by the way, those classic games on GBA? They aren't systems that play specific games. They're just GBA cartridges. Fucktard.

That's pretty much the only way to play, so don't think that it's because they're running out of $$$. Besides, everyone should have that stuff already :D
the way i see it, nintendo make a shit load more money from selling the games than selling the actual consoles, if they sell more consoles cheap more people will buy them, more people buy more games.

Thats the idea =\
All I know is that nintendo will be getting quite a bit of money from me soon. I R FANBOY
Nintendo's not going anywhere. While the GCN and Xbox are on fairly equal ground, really lagging behing Sony's PS2. Nintendo has nearly total market share of the handheld market, and the GB and GBA have sold many times more units then all three major consoles combined. They also account for the bulk of game purchases. Hence Sony eagerly trying to get it's grubby little foot into the handheld market, where it will most likely nit be able to compete with Nintendo due to current market share.
yeah.. nintendo is having lots of money probs... microsoft was too until the Xbox came out... nintendo has no real good ideas.. and if they finaly get a good idea for a product some other company already took it.. kind of like sega saturn.. (the first game system to ever use a disk for the game) nintendo was gonna be the first. but sega already popped it out.. ninteno is almost becoming obsolete.. and they are almost going banked rupt. Personally the only good nintendo products i've seen and played are the super nintendo, nes.. thats when nintendo was big.. 1980's- 1990's.. now.. nintendo sucks.. except for a brand knew game system. i've played it.. there isn't a name for it though.. the graphics are shit great.. but it is going to be expensive. the discs are smaller than a game cube.. the whole thing is only about.. the size of a TV Guide... its pretty kool.. how i've played it is.. i work for nintendo.. nothing kool.. it sucks.. except for the part were i can sit on my ass alday and play nintendo.. well.. i'm getting tired of typing.. IM me if you want to find out about more nintendo shit.. and updates
oh by the way slash808.. the only reason why sony fropped there prices on the ps2 is b/c it is old.. and there trying to save up money for the px3. can't wait for that..
and the big reason why ps1 is 40 bucks is b/c it is old a obsolete.. so those are the reasons!
micrsoft is doing accceptionally well.. just think.. Xbox.. windows.. computers.. internet... it is a shit load of things.. so microsoft is deffinetly rolling in the dough
also.. the picture below is Najica.. the chick is in an anime movie.. it is really kool.. you gotta check it out!
Your have a point there, what with Nintendo trying to get as much money out of it as possible. I don't think money is a problem for Nintendo, infact, I wonder if they still got some cash left from the amazing success of NES SNES etc. Nintendo is just triyng to do something new, for every baldurs gate, Nintendo gives us crystal chronicals. For every Halo, we get a nice juicy Metroid. Nothing against Halo, I like that game too.
They're trying to be innovative, I guess in this world, to do something different is gonna cost money. Since something revolutinary back then is taken for granted today. I still appreciate the simple things, like different footstpes for every type of floor. Or the way cars leave skid marks.
Seriously, can you pull one game out of your ass thats completely unique and has been released in the past while? Maybe 100 at the most, and thats not alot considering this years E3 had over 5000 right?
I don't think money is a problem for Nintendo. Despite near losses with Gamecube and the various other products over the years, they do own the VERY lucrative Pokemon franchise and the rights to some of video gaming's most popular characters. Eitherway, it can't be a problem, they invested 6 billion into the development of a new system according to reports.
I like how they're rereleasing NES games on GBA....but I don't like how they're separate. They should've put a bunch of them on one cart, since NES games take next to no memory.
The only ones I feel that are worth $20 a pop are Mario & Zelda. Most of the others you can get for e-Reader for 4 bucks each.
