Anything resembling a cigarette is classier. You don't need strange contraptions to smoke drugs, just some rolling papers and/or tin foil.
I'e gotten really good at rolling joints. I can't roll a blunt for shit. I prefer to use a bong over anything, but a while ago, I accidentally knocked it off of my desk and broke it. I haven't had the chance to go to a head shop and get a new one.
Bong for the best hit. However, if you're smoking a joint, you get more smoke in your lungs and therefore you get higher.
However, The smoke coming off a joint is being wasted if you're not hitting it. That's why I like blunts where you can put it out and light it up later. Sometimes you can get a whole eighth in blunt paper, too. But when it comes down to it, Bongs give you the best hit. I like bongs that have honeycomb filters myself, but the best combo is a bong with a honeycomb and ice rack. The ice rack is good to have so you can get a cleanly chilled hit.
Or you could just pack a normal bong with ice.
Overall, invest in a bong. If not, get cigar paper and roll huge blunts.

Smoking out of tin foil is NOT a good idea- tin particles line your lungs and can/may cause bleeding! :[
