actually here are some general pointers (mainly for electronica guys):
gross beat/dblue/effectrix is cool, i get it. don't use it as a crutch for mediocre synth/drum programming, and just don't overuse it.
a house track has a specific structure. a dubstep track has a specific structure. you don't have strictly adhere to the tropes but these tropes exist for a reason. don't try to reinvent the wheel, and don't submit less than a "radio edit" worth of music.
you can use presets and stock samples, but if we can tell you're using them (unironically) then you're doing something wrong.
don't overcompress your shit unless you know what you're doing. and unless you're this guy, you probably don't.
mixing genres or doing crazy/abrupt transitions between genres is sometimes a good idea. most of the time it's a mess.
if you submit a really shitty trap track i will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it.
