The Moomins was a Japanese anime. You didn't expect it to be an anime until now? What other shows did you not expected to be an anime?

Nobody shall forget what happened on June 10, 2007. (By which, I mean in The Sopranos.)

The Hunchback Of Notre Dame? That's an American animated movie. Not an anime.

But the series that the thread maker did was Japanese. (I wish I could've figured out earlier that the Moomins was actually European but I forgot.)

If OP came earlier and replied to you before I did, then I should realize that my work here is not necessary. But since he didn't, I can eventually say that you should do more research on the Moomins.

It's actually Japanese? But it just came from the second one, so that means that the first one might be American. Or unless you have more evidence.

Well the first one is i think. American. Or well it is based on a novel firstly. But when it comes to who made animation wise and drew it, then i'd assume it.

Well... I know Moomin is Finnish, i was just surprised when i read it on wiki that it was anime. Although it shouldnt matter if it is or not. But it just surprised me, maybe i shouldn't have made this thread when i think about it, i am still impressed with how good people can be when they do their best at something though ^^

Sure, the Japanese text definitely didn't give it away.

I'd like to think that too. But somehow anime fans doesn't like that, because they consider cartoons childish. Although i think mature doesnt equal good either way, not to say it can be bad, but its not much of a big deal to watch something.

Then how come some animes like Pokemon and Digimon were originally from Japan but however they are childish. Do they consider it okay because people from Japan originated it or do they believe that Western cartoons are made by unskilled people?

Yeah, its true that they are. I just dont know why. I guess they just know based on how they draw characters too, to say this is typical anime. You know... big eyes and all that.

But in the end, with liberty and freedom it can be anything if one puts its own mind into it.
