In a day or two, I am going to purchase a new 2014 Subaru Impreza (CVT). I test drove it already, and its really fun to drive. Despite only having 148 HP, it is pretty quick to accelerate... and it gets up to 36 miles per gallon. It has a USB port I can plug my phone into to play music from (and charge the phone). This will be my first new car, and is replacing a 2005 Dodge with 163,000 miles on it.

Can't imagine an impreza with an automatic transmission, guess you're in it for the fuel economy and not the performance and that's okay I GUESS

congratulations, enjoy it and take good care of it. They are cool cars. I got an 03 acura tl a year ago and i like it a lot but its used. Its in need of work but its pretty much been able to make every trip i've needed to do so far. With a new car like yours however you're guaranteed that its going to work pretty much and as long as you take good care of it will continue to perform well.

I've heard good thing about Subarus. Also those things are practically unstoppable in the winter so if you live somewhere with actually winters you've made a great choice.
I drive a 2013 Subaru Impreza, very happy with it. I've always felt right at home in a Subaru, I like the way they drive.

Oh yeah, that´s largely the point. The VDC, TCS, and AWD should be of great help. I do live in a place with winters... New York (not NYC...)
Also, I am sick of the poor traction, and understeer problem of my Stratus.
