a meaningless term used by those who are offended by people who's opinion may differ slightly from the norm. For example, I have been called a hipster for disliking the avengers movie amongst other strange reasons, and have witnessed many others being called hipster for a myriad of things.

it may have meant something less nonsensical/more specific when it was originally coined, but now it's an insult that could mean literally anything

Humans aren't paradoxes. Sure we do some things that may seem paradoxical, but those can be attributed to other factors.

A Paradox is something that Contradicts itself.

An apple tasting sweet upon entering the body, and what cannot being absorbed into your body coming out along with other stuff as excrement isn't a self contradiction. It's a natural process.

Cells do deteriorate as we are born, but once again that's not a contradiction. That's the natural cycle of life and death.

I think I'm a hipster going by some definitions!

However, it has taken a negative meaning and now it is more likely to a person who forces himself into going against the trend just to show off, receive praise for his uniqueness. It's a real oxymoron that more and more people follow this idea.

Pretty much this. It's a BS term people use for anyone that doesn't blindly follow the mainstream and/or who likes older things. i.e. people who actually have brains, think for themselves, and don't just buy into whatever garbage is being shoved down everyone's throats these days.

I mean sure there are people who actually are hipsters but majority of people labeled by others as "hipsters" are just simply non-conformists who actually think for themselves. They're the few intelligent people in a sea of idiots.

Simply hating something only because it's mainstream? Yeah that's stupid. Hating something because it sucks or is otherwise devoid of merit or just isn't for you and that thing just happens to be currently popular or mainstream? That'll get you labeled a hipster by idiots. Liking something that's older? That'll get you labeled a hipster by idiots.

Lots of idiots out there though and just about every single one thinks him/herself intelligent and those who disagree with them stupid, which is very ironic.

You're just going into semantics here, really.

Addressing the duality of a reality which is singular and simultaneously infinite may appear as a conceptual loop of paradoxicality at every step. Because it is.

Now, instead of compartmentalizing things conceptually and assuming that the compartmentalization makes them separate, envision the compartmentalization as a function of the whole, the self awareness part, the trinity maker.

Then it's not just simple, it's who and what we are; reality.
