Please tell me I'm not the only one who hates this overused and misused insult. It seems like that nowadays on the internet, that if you like or dislike certain movies, and then they diagnose you with autism, without having any knowledge as to what autism is.

Personally, I think it's ridiculous.

I can't say I've heard people call others autistic because of certain movies they like or dislike, than again I have some learning to do I guess.

Autism is normally looked as a social disorder and sometimes is linked to mental retardation. Its used to define people who "don't get it" or ask something that 90% of the general audience would know by now. Some tend to be quite critical, extremely unaware of certain situations, obsessive, and too extreme of an attitude towards others.

I would see no shock to why its been abused. Its just like us on the interwebs. :3

As linked to weeaboos and bronies, that has been true in a few cases, and I only came into contact with those trying to convert people into that like a religion of sorts rather than a fanbase. They won't shut up about it. They can't.
