So we've all been waiting for Pico Sim Date 3, but the series creator, Moosh, seems to have gone dark on us. As in, no one has heard from him in over 2 years. I had some great ideas for a sequel to Sim Date 2. I'm hesitant to call is Pico Sim Date 3 because although it follows the continuity of the other Pico Sim Date games and is itself a dating sim game, it is more of a spin-off and is to be followed up by other games with a completely different style. I wanted to contact moosh to ask for his blessing, but I can't contact him. As far as we know, he might never return to newgrounds. That being said, would it be wrong to move forward on this project?

What ethical reasons? Other than the no permission thing. Because there seems to be no way of having the permissions granted or denied.

Would that apply if the character designs were similar, the gameplay was similar, and certain plot points (pico and cyclops being in love with nene, cyclops being alive, and characters having memories of previous events) stayed the same?

Yeah, and that means that there is even less of a chance that it'll live up to the expectations that people are having for it. And as a result a lot of people will most likely call it worse than Duke Nukem Forever because of this.
