School's not so bad when you learn to enjoy the company of people outside of your own demographic. It's a lot easier to judge people and assume everyone who's not doing what you're doing is an idiot than it is to have an open mind and realize almost nobody's objectively bad. It's against your best interests to have a negative attitude.
You look nice today.

I'd kind of like to try actually going to a school for a day and going to classes and stuff... Haven't done it since kindergarten...

So you're admitting to being home-schooled?

My favorite thing about school by far was getting the chance to openly socialize with tons and tons of different people.
You don't get as many chances to just talk to people outside of school, a lot of people will think you're crazy if you try to start a conversation with them, it's kinda sad really.

Not really, but whenever I think about home-schooled kids, I think about all TV shows I've seen where a character is home-schooled and the parents are depicted as over protective tools and the kid is revealed to be socially undeveloped with very little understanding of how to interact with people their age, so all the kids from public school teach said kid how to be a "real" kid and play baseball in the sandlot or play kick the can and then at the end of the episode the kid returns to his/her uptight parents and tells them that he/she wants to go to public school with all of his/her new friends and then the parents cave and the kid goes to public school and that leads to a lot of potential episodes where they show the kid integrating into the school system.
So is your life anything like that?

Socially undeveloped...yeah, pretty bad, I still can't make friends or talk very well, but the isolation gave me great imagination.... tool...eh, probably... over protected Ha! I was schooled on the internet, a stranger sent me meat spin when I was 11 or 12!

I do enjoy socializing with all my friends and having good laughs and such, but I despise the work... I despise having to come back home and do MORE work. When I'm at home that's MY TIME not do more school work time screw that. It often feels repetitive too... "alright class today we're doing a narrative" bitch I've done a narrative I don't know how many times already. "today we will be learning about the different types of rocks" I LEARNED THAT IN 5TH GRADE. Don't even get me started on the rest, DO I NEED TO GO ANY FURTHER IN MATH? Please tell me when I'm ever going to use 3 step equations in my life, oh and why do I need to learn to do things without a calculator... if you ask me I don't need to learn anything else after pre-algebra if not before that.
How about this... I get to pick what I, ME, MYSELF, wants to do for the rest of MY life lets say it's animation. Then I should be able to learn ANIMATION not math, writing, social studies, science, health, and/or music!
If it was legal.. I would highly consider dropping out, but nope the government wants what's "best for me".

I was bullied a lot in school. 5th and 6th grade I couldn't control it because my homeroom teacher had vendetta against my grandmother and took it out on me, but in 7th and 8th grade I brought it onto myself. I walked around with a victim complex and I was a racially sensitive black extremist. Whenever I got shunned by my peers I'd cry racism and pout in a corner. You can even see traces of this cringeworthy behavior in my earlier BBS and news posts.
9th and 10th grade was super comfy though. I went to some piss poor highschool that rented the wing of a boarding school for deaf kids. In 10th grade they rented a rec center in the middle of a neighborhood with a tree cave. In 11th grade they permanently moved into an abandoned warehouse and it was horrible. I hated just about everyone there. Students were always banging on desks or doing some generally obnoxious shenanigans. Also I was a socially frustrated psychopath fearing everyone was out to get me. I didn't make any friends until late senior year, and I haven't seen or heard from them since graduating. I didn't get into any highschool antics but I got in a lot of fights.
If I could revisit my past schools I would in a heartbeat. I wouldn't change a thing though. My middleschool angst and highschool fights left me with some great stories. I'd want to go back just to re-enjoy the ride.
I revisited my highschool a year ago. Some fat fuck was showing off her ability to stomp and clap in the middle of the cafetorium. She stomped so hard that she smashed through a floor vent and got her leg stuck. I'm glad I didn't have one of those morons in my grade.

Going into my 3rd year of college and the college grind has been nothing short of a disaster. Shit GPA, transferring to my 3rd school because everything else sucked, and still unsure whether the school will still accept me since my last semester I did atrocious and I didn't send them my transcript yet. At least I'm done being forced into math and engineering classes, so if they let me in I know I'll do well if I don't continue to be a lazy cunt.
I always wished I never was going to say this, but I wish I was back in high school.

I will talk with you. As long as you're not asking for money or trying to push some religion in my face and seem at least somewhat interesting it's a-okay.
Unfortunately most of the strangers that "want to ask you something" around here either want money or want to push their religion on you. Occasionally they'll genuinely be interested in conversation but there will be nothing in common to talk about. It's especially true of uneducated people. Then it just gets awkward.

Same... I'm hoping to just learn my trade with the help of the internet, don't want to spend money on college. And omg yes I like never listen and just mess around yet manage to pull straight As out of my ass for the most part.

What an original thread this is.
Stop complainin', man.
At least you get to learn in the process and socialize.
Some people would give their right arm for the privilege.
Just run through the muck and don't look back.
Hopefully, you'll survive.

I had the "good fortune" of receiving an excellent education growing up...
Now, I can't remember the last time I enjoyed learning about something in class. I detest reading and haven't read for pleasure in like 10 years. I have no academic goals or dreams for my future. I look back at my childhood and remember how I was brimming with creativity, now replaced by mechanical thoughts, pragmatism, and linearity. It all came tumbling down so quickly. And it all started in the classroom. This thread depressed the fuck out of me.
Everywhere I go, there's a sergeant there.

It's pretty tough when you can't get people to pay you for pretty tough work.

Yes but look at all the friends you've made on Newgrounds since May.
It's like you belong here or something. :O
But seriously, my mother went through a "home school" phase with my brother and sister, and they were really pleased when she finally let them go to school. I went to school and hated every fucking minute of it. Different strokes, ya know?
