Who is that guy laying down on the psychiatrist's lounge in the movie Strawberry Clock VI? I've seen him in some other clock movies. Also, why doesn't StrawberryClock make any of his own movies anymore? I only see movies from other clock members.

and well, well, well, I'm new to the grounds gold system as you can tell by my level but I've been a fan of NG since Pico was still a new thing (and I forget when that was!)...anyway thought I'd way in with some quick thoughts on the clock situation as I see it:

1. I have to agree with people who want strawberry clock banned...now I'm all about free speech but, Dickey Mouse? That's just fucking sick...that kind of crap has no place on any website, and for NG to support that kind of shit speaks low of it's hosts (who are intelligent and great people by the way) and speaks lowly of it's users (and this is a damn fine community of 'em too I think) so I believe that at least strawberry clock needs banning and we should just ignore the rest of his followers...

2. Read an interesting thing in a review awhile back...someone suggested that the clock crew is the Fulps and some other guy's running the site in disguise to keep things interesting around here...not a bad theory I think, but if it really is Tom and crew...guy's it's already interesting enough around here...we don't need this kind of garbage clogging up an otherwise great site...

3. Assuming the clock crew is legit (or at least one adolescent guy with too much free time on his hands) I'd like to offer you this very simple message:

Listen, have you guys watched a little too much wrestling? Maybe been in to many MUDS or MOOs lately? You think you're rebels or something? You think banding together into a little group is impressing anyone or making you look cool? It isn't sorry guys, most of us grew out of that when we turned 16...maybe even earlier.

Fact is guys you're just annoying, you're movies really aren't that funny, and all you do is piss people off...then you want to throw stones at us for not liking your movies? I agree that no one should vote 0 or X on a movie without giving it a fair shot BUT...you guys seem to think that your movies receive 0's or X's cause people don't like you...could it be *gasp* they simple think your movies suck or are offensive (as I have already stated about Strawberry's movies)...frankly guys whenever you do something creative you open yourself up to criticism, is it fair? Some clocks did and still does good movies.
Not good maybe, but not bad.
Even StraBerry clock, the concept vote 5 for porn shows that people are dumb, people doesn't know how HTML links work (clicking in the voting window having effect on the movie window...), and that they like porn. TomFulp can't deny this, 90% of ad banners link to porn.
I think there is hypocrisis behind this.
Look at how many votes the clock crew movies had. Much much, this means banners shown and bucks in Tom's pocket. Don't blame me, but Tom is running NewGrounds also for money. No team, crew or movie (except the XiaoXiao) has generated more page views.
You really think Tom would stop this money incoming ? Killing the golden egg chicken ?

At least, new clocks should be removed. Keep the fruits, even maybe the vegetables, and stop new people from joining NewGrounds with a clock in their nick. Clean a little the crap, and newground will be really cleaner.
One thing to consider is that the Clock crew is bringing money, but they probably cost some, some old users left because they were bored of such a spamming...

So to sum up, keep the clocks who made good movies, and delete the ones who submitted crap several times.
And prevent people to register with the word clock in their nick.
As I write this, I'm just thinking that the more NG users registered, the more money and weight vs add companies...

Every once in a while I get the urge to post funny emails on the front page, and I don't know why I never do. Yesterday I got a real zinger, so I thought everyone would get a kick out of it. I would first like to state that going to Newgrounds.com over the past few days has been a burden rather than the fun, entertaining place it is meant to be. This is due mainly to the fact that the
so-called "Clock Crew" has been dealt a gross injustice by fellow users of the web site. Not only have numerous users of Newgrounds.com offended us several times on the BBS and in movie reviews, but they have also taken the liberty of making and submitting degrading Flash movies using our likeness to convey hatred, anger, and downright bigotry toward us. The following is a list of movies that we feel break the Newgrounds.com rules and therefore should result in account deletion or, in extreme cases, a ban to the users listed.

Provided are links to the movies in question along with the title and user whom submitted it:

Not only are the movies both offensive and extremely inappropriate for the content of Newgrounds.com, but the authors make numerous threats to the so-called "Clock Crew," including death threats, threats to our family and friends, and talk of violent or homosexual
acts directed toward us. This harassment is not limited to Flash movies, however, it can also be found in the reviews for the aforementioned movies, and on the BBS chat.

If that is not shocking enough, users tend to vote "X" or "0" without even watching our movies or giving them a score that they really deserve. Several users (Pants01, Mr_Congeniality, GrandmasterJ, ChronoBasher, MrLicky, Quirion_Dryad, and VdIbV, to name a few)
search for our movies and specifically vote "X" or "0" to get them deleted so we cannot be a part of the Newgrounds.com community. These users have not been provoked by us in any way, they simply do not like us because they think the movies we make are "stupid" and
have "no effort" put into them, despite the fact that these people create movies of poor quality themselves or do not create movies at all.

This aggravation has led to a disliking of our visits to Newgrounds.com when having to face the humility of being called a "faggot," among other disheartening words, reading users' posts describing various acts of violence which they would like to act upon us, and having our quality movies deleted for no good reason day after day.

We feel that these users should be dealt with immediately seeing as they are trying to get our accounts deleted and/or banned because they believe that we are somehow violating our Newgrounds.com agreement as well. With the exception of one movie made by StrawberryClock in retaliation for the 13 or so "anti-StrawberryClock" movies, we have not crossed any lines or broken any rules set by the good folks at Newgrounds.com. All we want is fair treatment and justice served for those whom segregate the Portal.

Generally speaking, the crew has prooduced poor work. That is a given I think most of us can nod in agreement to. I don't particularly mind all of their stuff as a whole, but I'm also not handing out awards here. Still, you can't ban people just becuase you don't like them and their movies, that gets into a whole censorship issue and make you worse than the people you fight.

Instead, simply continue to vote as you feel, and ignore the crew if you don't like what they have to say. As many have surmissed, they seem to be after attention more than anything, and thus the best thing you can do is let them fade away with lack of interest.

Yawn.

I don't mind the Clocks. Several of them are creative. Some of the stuff they submit is shit, but the good movies don't deserve 0's. I think it's unfair of people to give 0's to movies they haven't even watched, just because they are made by Clocks.

Man, u guys get angry at one clock, so the entire clock group deserves 0's? A lot of there stuff is really funny (after seeing CLock Killer, i actually thought "B" was funny, but without that movie it woulda been shit), especially from KnottsberryClock, he has some great movie spoofs. Anyways, just cuz StrawberryClock claims to be "the king of the portal" and submits a LOT of shit, doesn't mean that OrangeClock should get 0s because of it. Looking at this letter and how it's worded, I think he has an ulterior motive for writing it. I think he's setting up to sue many Newgrounds users for harassment, but more likely, to sue Newgrounds for negligence. I still think he should be banned with all due haste, but he needs to be told WHY he is being banned. Otherwise, he's likely to take this to court, and with the sorry state the civil courts are in, he'll win. This guy needs to be treated with extreme caution, because it looks like he's about to take advantage of Newgrounds. Please, people, let's not let this happen.

This proves my point right here. Not only does this portray him as the innocent victim, but he can also help prove his case with it. What sucks, is that I don't believe the fact that all this was provoked even matters. All he has to do is show the court all the anti-Strawberry_Clock movies, and case-closed -- Tom Fulp is in poverty, and Newgrounds is shut down. Immediate action needs to be taken to make sure this doesn't happen. All anti-Strawberry_Clock movies need to be deleted, as well as anti-Clock reviews, profiles, and anything else anti-Clock. This will render his case worthless, and he is once again able to be banned.

Having said all of that though, some of those movies are actually all right. Clock Assassin X is really well done, as is 'the Portal is not Enough'

There's no way that you can call those 2 movies pointless crap. There's some other all right stuff, like the 'Burrito Clock Show' (nice idea - not seen anything like that before) and some other stuff that I can't remember without browsing NG, which I can't be bothered to do.

But my point is that some Clock movies - specially some of the more recent ones - are definitely something that can be classed as 'good'.

And remember that I'm apparently a over-judgemental bastard, so if I like something, surely that should tell you something...
