I don't understand Republicans

I don't understand why most of them only think for themselves and not for society as a whole... it's not like you're going to be here forever anyway, the society will, but not you. On that note. Several republicans are also conservatives, and are pretty hypocritical, because for religious people, they sure do like to destroy the land that they think God has given him, and like to be mean-spirited toward others.

Why are also so many of them socially backward or think with their emotions instead of logic? That leads to a country that operates on mob mentality.

Is it just me that has noticed or have other people noticed it too? I don't mean to offend people who are republicans. It just seems like there is quite a bit for some reason.

These people you mention are why America's bureaucracy is at risk of becoming a joke internationally, and are part of why some nations no longer take us as seriously as they used to. It's not republicans, there are stupid democrats and etc group people. The mistake being made is that each group is trying to create a different, yet completely unwavering type of government system. Most politicians don't care to take things case by case in passing bills and forming opinions on matters, which creates room for police error, confusion, and misunderstood policies of candidates and officeholders.

i do think capitalism is about personal responsibility and the freedom of choice, but when most people with lots of money choose to hoard cash and the lower class is stuck without any way to advance upwards, capitalism does not work. we need to be a little more socialist or at least try and push for more spending in the richer sects of america.

"Republican" is the branding for many people sitting on a "right-sided" leaning, and as people would understand it, democrats are "left-sided" leaning, independents are generally the "moderate" between the two (while that's misleading because an independent could be batshit crazy + have close to no real chance winning elections).

i'm not a stereotypical republican. i think there needs to be someone who can push for term limits in congress, push for more state powers, possibly push for a little bit of upper class control beyond taxing the living fuck out of them to use on pointless ass focus groups like the abstinence alliance or whatever the fuck its called, and maybe somebody with a bit of military or executive experience like an ex cop or someone who knows about the direct at-home issues of what they need to prevent, what they need to focus money towards, and why.

Part of it is just inpenetrable ideology, which means a lack of genuine self-reflection and criticism-- everyone is guilty of this to some degree-- and part of it is simply a belief that individual freedoms are more important than group survival. As for them being socially backward and illogical, I'm certain there are many right-wing folks who would say the same thing about the American left.

Because of the importance they place upon individual freedoms (despite many championing family values), republicans often advocate for a market in which the government plays as small a role as possible and taxes (at least on business owners, who are perceived as the hardworking representation of the American dream and the idea of individual freedom they cherish so dearly) and spending are reduced to both theoretically maximize business spending power and individual profits, and to incentivize people who would otherwise be dependent upon social welfare to take control of their lives and make something of themselves. Plus there's this "I'm good and others are bad, therefore they must be punished" mentality (compared to the American left's "I'm bad, others are good, therefore I must overcompensate" that can lead to racism, xenophobia, and the perception of poverty as a moral failure/result of irresponsibility instead of a problem of the system or maybe both.

See above. Enterprising Conservatives are a very small and disproportionately wealthy group of people whose vote Republican because it helps to improve their incomes. However, studies have shown that most have reached their economic height by winning "against the odds" which brought confirmation bias to their support of blind capitalism. That is to say their political ideologies had no bearing in their success; their wealth was accumulated_ by employing other people to do a large amount of work and pay them the profit.
