I have noticed several same people who Apperently very generous with the stars. So I checked their profiles and they gave like 1000 reviews 5 stars each time.

I think you should report these people to a review mod, I'm pretty sure it says somewhere in the rules that reviewing just to get a high review count is kinda bannable and could result in all their reviews being deleted.

Considering how many talented artists don't get attention here I don't suggest bans. However it would make sense to have minimum time to eliminate review grinding

Better than the 0-spammers I guess. Still kind of funny to see someone whose reviews are all unhelpful "This game/movie is the best!", "This game/movie sux", etc...

Especially when they've voted 5 on clearly broken material or voted 0 on material which had clear effort involved.

It's a weak trolling technique I think. Votes should more-or-less balance out over time though.

I think the point is when the review content isn't solid though. Or at least that was how I interpreted OP.

I think the users who literally put in five stars whenever they write a review are the ones who want to make a high number of them. I myself never done that because I rate my review to see on how bad or good the movie, game, audio submission and/or art piece is and the flaws of it.

I was a bit abuse of the 1-10 rating in times prior to 2007/2008 when we started going to 5 star reviewing, but when i review nowadays I do not skip out the detail and review accordingly. you do not want me reviewing your work if you are sensitive - I have some high standards for a 5 star. ok, mixed standards, but for good reason.

Those reviews are pointless and are just a waste of space which should be used for decent reviews

Let me make example of 10 reviews by them:

NIce! Good job! Well done! Amazing ! You rock! Awesome! C00l! Great work! That's badass . Fantastic!

Time/2 seconds +5stars = I didn't actually watch the content because I post reviews as fast as I can

I haven't reviewed anything in a long time, but I do know that reviews are not the same as comments. I mean, it clearly said "This isn't a place for you to make smug jokes, post stupid nonsense, or act like a total jerk." In short - it means don't be a dick and don't be an asshole.

If reviewing, why don't people actually play the game for a while, maybe half-an-hour, to get a feel of the game and get a hand of the game mechanics. Or better yet, play the entire game if it has a beginning and an end, so you can review the storyline, at least until Tom and the team get an edit button there (They still haven't made an edit button for the BBS, for fucks sake!).
