Tomorrow is ROBOT DAY! I have no idea what to expect for turnout since it wasn't pushed too hard this year but maybe we're in for a big surprise. I dig what you're saying. Could always try to set a certain amount to each post or test out how each post will look. Either way, so much exposure to stuff that might never be seen again and motivation for me to tag stuff.

In the case of music, incorporation of the Robot theme is a slightly delicate matter, because the medium isn't visual. (Unless there's lyrics. Lets pretend lyrics aren't a thing for a second)
Is it mandatory to incorporate very distinct elements that very clearly outline the theme?
Surely, the clearer you represent the theme , the better, but is there a strict "It has to be blatantly obvious or it's a bust" policy?

Not all entries seem to follow theme for these NG days, but if you DO incorporate theme into your submission, the important folks do notice, and it helps rise above the generic dancey/dub-steppy songs that simply have "robotday2014" tags included.
Personally, I love when people put the time and effort in creating brand new material specifically for these day events.

If the song wasn't made with a robot theme in mind then it's best to not enter it. Ultimately it comes down to people listening to it and saying, "Yeah, this embodies the spirit of robots!"
Oh yea, no, the song was made for this event specifically, and in an attempt to fully represent the theme. I just hope I succeeded.

It's the 18th over here in the UK now, got my Robot Day piece (which triples up as an album track demo and a NGADM Audition piece along with Robot Day) all sorted out in the Projects directory, ready to hit submit! Just gonna sleep for 6 hours or so and wait untill it's the 18th in the US before I submit it!
