I recently just recorded my voice in Audacity with curiosity as to what I sound like, and I sound fucking horrible. I tried talking ina higher tone, but that doesn't work. I just sound really dull and boring.
Have you tried using AutoTune?

I have a low, boring voice but I like it anyway and I will occasionally record it to embarass myself on the internet.

Try Yelling passionately in German and record that shit and who knows maybe even put it on Facebook for your parents to see. One of the administrative ladies at work told me I would make a good narrator because I have a very distinctive voice, that made me feel pretty good.

I don't. My voice is awesome.
Ugh, I hate my voice too. I have a tiny pitch range, so singing is pretty much impossible (try using an 8-key piano). I also squeak when I laugh, which is pretty embarrassing.
