America really needs some common sense laws. Because apparently if it isn't codified in law, people won't even use common sense.

Like make it so if the age difference between the two people is 3 years or less then it's not illegal. Or something like that.
I'd be okay with saying if it's 5 years or less, but that might get tricky if you had someone 13 and someone 18, which is pretty wrong. But surely a 3 years or less "grace" should be acceptable?

I also agree that America really needs to start employing some common sense and logic into their law making, because I don't see any of it. Laws are so strict and must be followed in such a precise way that it doesn't allow any free thought, or common sense. No, the law must be followed precisely.

This is what creates crap situations like this in my opinion.

Well of course, and to any decent human that's how it would be. A couple spankings and get sent to your room is one thing. Beating your kids with a lead pipe because they failed 8th Grade Math is different.

Things always change, though. For instance, my Mother used to reference a time when it was okay for principles and teachers to hit kids with those paddles for acting up. That got done away with because discipline is the parents' job.

Now, when I was a child I stole a pack of candy cigarettes and my parents found out. 5 smacks with a belt and a 2-page essay on why stealing is wrong later, never did that shit again. I told my friends, teachers, everybody. Not to brag or bitch, just felt I'd pass on the lesson.

Now, if a parent does that shit today and tells their teachers, that same kid is getting taken away and placed in some sort of foster care, I'm sure. Sweet. So of course kids are going to do whatever the fuck they want... all it takes is one treat to call to DFS and they have their way.

Gotta play devil's advocate here, but whose to say she didnt send him a pic of her in her bra and underwear? I don't know if that really could be considered "child pornography" since her genitals and breasts would be covered if that's the case, it would pretty much be the same if she wore a bikini.

Of course if that isnt the case then she should be charged with child pornography as well.
