I wouldnt say the game itself was a disaster, but it just couldn't possibly match the arcade experience and it was REALLY hyped up. Imagine the same type of hyper Duke Nukem Forever had. It wasn't really a terrible game but people hated it due to how much hype there was surrounding it. Its that hype that caused the port to become such a huge flop.
As for mrs pacman, do you mean the atari or the arcade version? if Arcade people still loved the Arcade pacman so the other was naturally a hit, if the console then I personally forgot but I think it was improved an by that point people hadn't put as much hype into it.
But nether the less welldone but knowing that Pacman was also a flop as many people seem to think ET was the only game that made the crash happen. When in actuality pacman was arguably worse for it.
because ms. pac man fixed every problem the original had.
Ms Pacman was always the better one in the arcade and for coleco tabletop.
Pac Man was always an awesome game.
