as most people know, sonic the hedgehog is getting a show yet again. now given the disappointment of sonic x, when I saw that they were coming out with a new series, my thoughts were "shit! Sega, why do you have to put sonic into an ever crappier situation?" most of the rage was because knuckles looks like he's on roids. but after I watched the preview, my thoughts changed. so, what do you think? yes or no to the changes that have been made to sonic and his friends?
I don't really if they changed the designs for the main cast for Sonic Boom. They're not that bad in the sense that heavily deviate from there original appearance besides the new apparel that they sport. I've seen the trailer of Sonic Boom earlier I guess it's not bad.
I would like to watch it but UK cartoon network doesn't have those newer cartoons like annoying orange but I guess you could call it better because of that.

Honestly those designs look passable.
Just watched pilot. Veeery hit and miss. The writing is solid. I'll give them that, if anything else, there are some truly witty remarks and genuine humor in this series for anyone of any age to enjoy. Its just everything else surrounding it that kinda sucks. The middling plots are the weakest point, there isn't much substance to what they're doing and why they're doing it, no real direction yet. Also, some of the CG designs for background and BG characters are god fucking awful, the badger thing in the pilot looked awful in comparison to the main cast and the environments are lacking. In terms of character art and animation, I like the designs and I think it looks super polished. The anims lag behind though, the movements look eh.
But as I said, the humor is there, and its genuine (some times). Whoever is in charge of writing dialogue should be given a raise because its one of the few things good about the series thus far. Of course though, a series can change a lot and grow quite a bit in its first season, so I'll tough it out and check up on it again in a few months to see if its gotten any better.
Overall: 6/10, not terrible. Sonic fans should give it a go and others should still at least try it out (hell, I did).

Sonic Boom is pretty good, Eggman is the star of the show because all of his jokes are great, otherwise it's pretty decent.

back before shadow and sonic x, he was the serious character. the only time he ever came close to being stupid is when he trusted eggman back in sonic 3. even then he had just met eggman
