About 5 days ago. I've been eating meat all my life, but after watching a few videos of animals getting rounded up and slaughtered in these production places I am beyond angry at how evil society is, and I decided I would never support these monsters ever again in my life.
So far it's been easy, just avoiding meat and eating other delicious stuff like potatoes and beans. Question is though, is it bad for you? And does it make you lose muscle? I'm not really too aware of the health benefits/side effects but I don't wanna ruin my health.

Not that being a vegetarian is wrong or anything, but I did find this recently. It's a comparison between a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian

You'll eat meat again, trust me.
I called myself a vegetarian for a couple days when I was twelve, but then my dad made me lamb chops with potatoes.
I said "dad, I don't eat meat anymore. I'm a vegetarian now."
He said "I'm not wasting good money on lamb chops so you can decide to just not eat them."
Realizing that he would whoop my ass, I ate the lamb.
And it was fucking delicious. I decided that meat is too tasty to not eat.
We went to KFC the next day.
Image what you're missing out on. Fried chicken, smoked brisket, hamburgers, sausage, rotisserie chicken, lamb, sushi, pulled pork sandwiches, subway subs, chili, general Tso's chicken, ribs, bacon, roast beef sandwiches, steak, chicken pot pie, chicken soup, tacos, fish 'n' chips, clam cakes. Animals kill animals all the time, it's how nature works. It's the cycle of life.
If you want to waste the rest of your life eating peanuts and broccoli, go ahead. I'll be too busy having food that actually tastes good.

It's not bad for you. A meat eating diet can lack in certain nutrients, just as a non meat one can. Depends on how healthy you are. Most likely you'll need to make sure you're getting enough calcium, b6, and b12 which isn't even that hard.
It most certainly doesn't make you lose muscle. Most people overeat protein, it's hella easy to get. I did my personal best bench press while vegan. There are vegan bodybuilders. Try telling them their diet makes them lose muscle.
Vegweb.com has some good recipes if you like making your own food.

The most conclusive evidence would have to come from a comparison of identical twins with a life long history of veg/non-vegetarian diets. People can age differently. Moreover, significant lifestyle factors outside of diets such as tobacco/alcohol use can have huge impacts as well.
Can't say I'm into the whole vegetarian thing, but vegetarian MRE's do taste pretty alright. The veggie heads are onto something.

You should watch those documentaries on the abuse of plants. It's far worse than what the meat industry is doing. I myself have converted to photosynthesis. It's the most unharmful and humane way to live. People say I've fallen into the trap of propaganda responsible for the pussification of our species, but I disagree. We must save the plants.
Look at this suffering.

Chili is one of the best foods mankind has ever created, but you can have it well without meat, just replace it with EXTRA BLACK BEANS.

Well for one, it will take a year to get things together. Meat and dairy and full of hormones because that's how the industry rolls these days. You will have mood swings, you will crave it, it's all perfectly normal. Meat should have been only used for survival purposes but instead you abuse poor animals into...this. The dairy is the same way and animals are abused for those purposes and more cheeses are actually not made from dairy but GMO soy anyhow. Get rid of it and see how you feel.
I think most people fail veganism because they don't eat enough and they get deficiencies because they don't have enough of a balanced diet. They survive on GMO non organic products and ALOT of gourmet vegan/vegetarian meals. Stop consuming fats, oils, tons of sodium and notice huge changes. Your body will more than likely freak out and make you gain weight if you actually follow an 80/10/10 lifestyle but in a few years time you will wonder why the hell you act those products and made yourself purposely feel like shit all the time with low energy constantly without the use of sodas and energy drinks
Also, I don't know why people get this notion that you need a on of iron and protein to survive on a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle. You only need 5 percent of your calorie intake to come from a protein source by the media makes it out like you need atleast 30 or you'll fucking wither away. I'm fit and lean as fuck after such a short time on this lifestyle and I intake very little protein. Protein helps build a healthy body so like I said, 5-10 percent of your daily intake needs to protein. I don't recommend nuts and seeds as a staple as they are fats. Fat is fat and your body WILL react to it.
Fact: there's protein in fruit. A lot of people don't seem to know or will grasp this...at all. I eat a lot of fruit (random day will be 10 bananas 15 dates 10 peaches a melon and a cooked healthy vegan meal for dinner) so I easily get 5-10 percent protein in a day from that alone.
A lot of things that shouldn't contain animal products DO so be careful and e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns if you want.

None of that struck my interest just now. I don't have much temptations when it comes to food.
Animals kill animals all the time, it's how nature works. It's the cycle of life.
Here's where I'll say you're wrong. Animals kills animals because they have to. They don't have the ability to go to the supermarket and pick up fresh vegetables and fruit. Survival instinct forces all living things to eat anything edible when there is nothing else to eat. Animals that are in the wild, they have nothing else to eat but other animals. With this, it's ok for a human to eat any animal if that human is stranded with nothing else to eat. Survival instinct will force that person to do it anyway.
If you want to waste the rest of your life eating peanuts and broccoli, go ahead. I'll be too busy having food that actually tastes good.
Typical American attitude.

I've been a vegetarian my entire life, and it hasn't ever caused me any health issues. If you want to avoid losing muscle, just eat stuff that has plenty of protein.
To be honest though, I'd not really recommend going veggy at this point OP. If you have eaten meat your entire life, just removing it from your diet overnight might make you ill if you're not careful.

It's very easy to get iron from plants. I'm sure he will understand to eat enough greens. The body will force you to crave it when you're deficient in something. I never had that issue when I went from a meat and dairy eater to a straight vegan. I craved broccoli and spinach ALL the time....my whole life.
Please don't eat regular tofu OP, try to eat sprouted tofu or non gmo soy whenever you can. Plenty of fake non gmo 'meat' choices too. Quorn is my favorite brand of that.
When in doubt, try to eat as much organic as possible. It makes a HUGE difference. For me, it tastes better too. I don't care what anyone says. The more vibrant the color the better it is for ya.
Whatever you do, DON'T eat under ripe veges and fruits. It will constipate you in the long run. And please know how to mix your meals. Eat your fruit in a day before veges or cooked foods. After your done eating whatever raw foods you want, THEN eat your cooked meals a few hours after your last raw meal. Your stomach will thank you for it. Fruit just processes too fast and will gas battle your other food otherwise.

Really? Be a vegetarian, but don't be a douche about it. It doesn't make you a more enlightened human that gets to look down on other people. Yeah, there's something inherently fucked up about the massive industry behind raising and slaughtering of animals for consumption. Most people know that and have their own internal struggle about justifying the fact that their lifestyle supports it and not everyone is in a situation where it's convenient to just switch to a vegetarian diet. The world isn't black and white where the line is drawn around eating meat, it's more complicated than that.

I never knew there were different kinds of tofu, lol. Probably because I don't really care too much about it.

I like organic stuff a lot more too but it's too expensive, unfortunately

it's kind of weird because my whole life I never thought like this, I just kind of ate whatever I thought was healthy and whatever I thought was the right time to eat it. I feel like I was able to maintain a perfect physique by doing that, I just don't want to lose it along with any muscle. I think I just gotta find sources of protein

There are a few different possible scenarios why one of these women look much better than the other. If you ask me, the first thing I'd say is genetics and after that, the blonde looks like she was previously a smoker or is hypocritical and currently smokes, but promotes a healthy lifestyle as a health guru. Either way, her teeth look disgusting to say one thing about the comparison of beauty between these two women.
