Hello, im looking for a cartoon back in the early 00's that was about a Samurai that got into a battle with a demon swordmaster on Newgrounds. It was on the Portals #1 list for a long time but memory has faded on me. Anyone know this cartoon would greatly help. It had to have been less than 2 or 3 minutes in length.

That's gotta be it. Even if it isn't, that was pretty sweet. Thanks for doing the legwork on that one.

sub, submission? Don't tell me only I use this short.
Yes, of course, it had it's time to get 2M views, but you have to agree that in the past NG had more visitors and submissions were getting statistically more views. My below-average flashes from 2010 got around 3k views. My clock day submissions from 2013 didn't even reach 1000 and it wasn't spam. There are submissions on the front page, which don't have 1k views. This tells us a lot about the traffic on Flash portal.

In fact, 69% of my earnings on this site are coming from me being a dick and attracting people to my profile page. Submissions is just 31%

I mean, I get what you are saying of course there are less visitors it seems, but flashes still get tons of views

8 million views on that, submitted in 2012. If you make something good, the views will come in.

Sure, there are some "legendary flashes", but I wouldn't take Krinkels for an example. He's really known, doesn't submit anywhere else than NG (as far as I know), but on the other hand, gains fans on the other sites, so there's lots of people out of NG watching his flashes. The ordinary, "local legends" get much less views. It would be nice to see 10k views on an average submission.

Like I said before, the better a game or flash (regardless of who submits it, although that does help but really being on the front page helps a lot), it will get a decent amount of views.
The thing is, the flash has to make the front page or win an award.

A little searching around found several sites saying his name is Randolf Dilamanta. I didn't find any other work by him though.
Dead?
One hit wonder?
Posted something stolen and then fucked off after getting so much attention?
