If you're a fan of horror, or vampire movies in particular, and have never seen Near Dark, I'm giving you a homework assignment. Go watch Near Dark.
What is your favorite vampire movie?
From Dusk til Dawn is good, and this is going to sound weird, but I would have liked it more if it didn't have vampires.
It started off being this really great movie, and half way through, when the vampires show up, it ruins what could have been a decent film.
Does anyone else think they should have stayed the course with the storyline, and not made it silly with vampires? I always liked that movie, but that doesn't mean anything. I used to like cheesy B horror movies, and garbage when I was younger.
Thirst - Gorgeous fucking movie that almost feels like a dare Park Chan Wook took to prove you can make a vampire love story and not have it suck ass and use regular fucking vampires.
30 Days of Night - Just a really good action packed vampire movie that is as stylish as it is entertaining.
Blade - Best of the trilogy, violent as hell and damn worth it.
This is probably going to sound really lame and most likely wouldn't be my answer if I were to re-watch it, but my most memorable vampire film is The Little Vampire (2000). It's just one of those films that I watched over and over when I was younger and would probably have some nostalgia for it if I were to watch it again today.
I just googled it and seeing images from the moive does kind of make me want to re-watch it, just to see how well it holds up against my memory of it. Although after seeing all the terrible reviews people wrote about it, I think I'll leave my memories of this film undisturbed.

Blade is the most decent vampire film that I have enjoyed.

Not vampires. They're closer to zombies, but they're not supposed to be that either.

Those are both good. Thirst isn't among my favorite Chan-Wook films, though. And regarding what you said about vampire love stories, give Near Dark a shot. OP is right. It's a good one.
Also, I wouldn't consider these two following movies to be favorites, but they are some underrated vampire movies I don't hear anyone talk about.
Y'all should check them out.

I thought the vampires were awesome. Tom Savini aka "Sex Machine" was my favorite character in the whole film.

The only thing I remember from that movie was when this guy walks into his barn and finds all the cows are like demonic and stuff. Remember thinking it was very cheesy, but enjoyable.
I think Bram Stoker's Dracula would be my favorite.
Dracula: Dead and Loving It.
Not a fan vampire movies.
Bram Stoker's Dracula was pretty good.
I also weirdly liked the old 1922 Nosferatu.

Like I've said, I don't have a favorite vampire movie, but at least I know that the worst ones are the Twilight saga.
Near Dark all the way, it's fantastic.
Second place might go for Lost Boys.
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.
ScaryPicnic made me do it.My letterboxd.

Also Queen of the Damned and this Rifftrax worthy OAV.
C is for cookie. That's good enough for me.

I think that's a fact everyone has already realised by now.
I think I'd have to chose the original 1922 Nosferatu movie. The scene where he stands in front of his window in the abandonned factory just starring at "Mina", or when he appears on the boat in front of the terrified sailor. Amazing! I also really enjoyed 30 Days Of Night.
I'm kind of surprised nobody mentioned the Underworld series yet. These were not masterpieces, but they were quite enjoyable, especially the very first one (before the story got complicated and involved soap opera backstories for all the main characters).

You need to learn the definition of vampire.... Also, never in the movies they are referred to as vampires...
I also can't believe that you placed these two movies in the same sentence. 28 Days Later is a masterpiece, while the other one is a dumb cashgrab that was made for the sole-purpose to feed on the success of the first movie. In that sense, 28 Weeks Later is kind of about vampires... but not in the same way ;)

I'd chose any of these crappy movies over Coppola's turd.

There's an upcoming Johnny Strong movie called Daylight's End features things that seem to be kind of a cross between zombies (which I'll admit they're kinda closer to) and vampires (in the I am Legend sense).
It looks like it's gonna be fucking awesome, especially for gunheads like me, it also has famed (in the spec ops and gunhead world) ex-Spetsnaz operative Sonny Puzikas (who was previously in the last Johnny Strong/William Kaufman movie Sinners and Saints, which is fucking excellent). Johnny Strong, by the way, is the most approachable celebrity I think I follow. He acts like a regular dude, posts pictures of his cat and dog (named Motoko and Batou, respectively), and interacts with his fans on a level that doesn't feel phony. He's great.

Nosferatu - impressive for a 20's film
Thirst
Let the Right One in [original]
Others:
30 Days of Night
From Dusk till Dawn
Don't think I've ever found a vampire flick to be particularly enthralling
Might need to see Near Dark and Interview with the Vampire

That's a zombie movie.
I'd have to say my favorite is Vampires. Not only did it have lots of guns and nudity at an age where those were very important to me but it was the style of supernatural I like. I like stories that don't completly take humanity out of the game and James Woods sold it as the vampire hunter who's just as savage as the things he hunts because that's how you win. I also like that guns were part of the arsonal. I hate when some mythologies have vampires look at inneffective bullet wounds before eating your head but they turn to dust if you jab them with a pencil (Buffyverse) That also feels exclusionary. Take the time to master ancient fighting styles or sit in the corner while the specials deal with this.

Yeah it's the only vampire movie I can really recall aside from dusk till dawn which is nearly as over-rated as most of the okay to decent films Tarantino made. Never did see Reservoir Dogs though.
