cmon, raping a dog or child is no different from raping an adult human.. yet for some reason, we always seem to treat the rapists of them worse than we would the rapists of said adults..

hell, i think sexual assault should be treated no different from regular assault, and that either we put the sex offender registry in the garbage, or force all those who have any kind of criminal record whatsoever to notify the community where they live, all under one banner so people dont go harassing specific demographics quite so much.

i mean, what did they think would happen with the sex offender registry? people simply staying away from them out of fear? wishful thinking but no. harassment happens. then it turns into murder. and nobody, no matter what anyone says, deserves to die.

in a perfect world, crime wouldnt exist. in the best possible idealistic world however, we must still correct crime. notice how i said "correct". not punish. this is a case of "gandhi was right". an eye for an eye and the world will be blind.

governments are not meant to rule through fear. just as citizens should not fear being kicked out of their homes for not paying their bills, criminals should not fear losing their human rights. this does not mean they should be allowed to continue their criminal activities of course (IF the law they broke was a reasonable one rather than a dumb one..) but we can find a way to keep the people and their property safe without imprisoning anyone..

now, i realize that until we do find said methods, the imprisonment will remain a so-called "necessary evil", but it is our responsibility to work on devising them, even if we think it a supposedly impossible task.

until we do, we cannot achieve utopia. again, not something everyone would consider possible, but something it is necessary to work towards regardless, if we wish to live in one. and if you dont wish to live in a utopia, sucks to be you..

i call bullshit. i myself care for animals and not this topic. not that i care for them as much as i used to, mind you.. ive become increasingly selfish over time.. but i do try to serve myself in a way that benefits others. including animals.

i suppose i should explain myself. when i was a young boy, one christmas eve, i went to the store with my mom to buy a present for my little brother. knowing full well she wouldnt let me get a present for myself, and that my brother had similar tastes to my own, i got it for him instead. then, once the holidays were behind us, my mother made him share it with me, the way i always had to share my stuff with him.

just as planned...

more recently, i did something similar with my pets. i convinced my mother that i'm a greedy bastard who does nothing unless paid, then i go feed my pets, and get money for it too.. or at least, it worked for awhile, then she found me out.

i still fed them of course, i wouldnt dream of deliberately letting them starve.. but now, seeing as she takes care of it for me, i dont have to anymore..

nowadays, i selflessly go out there and scratch them under the collar, play a couple games with them, once a month or so. but thats about it..

but i digress.

this topic has no value whatsoever. a man got sexually involved with an animal. so frikkin what? he doesnt deserve to be put away for that.. if he hurt the animal in the process, it was accidental, unless he had a gore fetish, in which case he probably should get mental help so he doesn't continue to mix fantasy and reality in that department..

pedophilia involving sexual contact IS okay... but only under certain conditions.. now, as i havent seen the animal in question due to not being the type to follow links to source material, i cant tell how old of a pup it is.. all i know is its a puppy.. so for all i know, it may or may not be a direct analogue to my philosophy about human children..

i also do not know how badly the animal was "traumatized", for the same reason i do not know its age..

a child can be educated, provided their mind is sufficiently capable of understanding human speech. they know fact from fiction.

an animal, is rather more difficult. it cannot understand human speech completely, no matter how old it is. yet they can be trained, if they are physically large/independent enough to accomplish the given task.

an infant in both cases, would be harm done. not necessarily so if it were a non-infant puppy or a toddler. furthermore, some minds develop and mature at quicker rates than others in both species.

now, i highly doubt the guy bothered to figure out how to go about training the pup before giving into his urge, but at the same time, that doesnt mean he deserves to go to jail for it.

how many times must i mention this? nobody deserves to be shanked to death in prison. not even the most disturbed serial killer.

not enjoy. that would be fucked up. the purpose of the training, rather. is to help it understand better whats happening, and to give an indication if itd be okay with it, if not would like it. it may be biologically wired to some degree to already know whats going on , as it is a primitive animal after all. but it wont completely on its own.

I'll agree that anyone with any morbid obsession, feelings or urges of sexual or violent nature should be better understood rather than just ignored, but you can't expect the guy not to be arrested for committing such a crime.

actually, i can, just not in today's society. the point is, we're supposed to be working to a point where arrests are unnecessary and people can just use security personnel to prevent the act from occuring unwantedly.

an arrest may be a "necessary evil" for the time being, i understand that much clearly. but we need to work to change that.
