If there's any other stupid hippie anti-establishment vegan bullshit opinion out there that's actually WORSE than the claim made above me, feel free to share it. This is the one that absolutely drives me up the wall.
One day when I went over to my friends pad, his brother began to spout all sorts of vegan bullshit in my direction [He lives with his brother]. The coincidental thing being that he ate nothing but shit & was a huge brand whore until he started dating an uber-vegan hippie and now he thinks he's some sort of all-knowing hot-shot out to prove the world that they're wrong & stupid.
One of the points he brought up to me among all the anti-establishment "they're brainwashing you through advertising" bull was that he believed people didn't evolve to digest meat or dairy, and that's when my brain started to fill with all different kinds of fuck. He somehow thinks that because no other animals drink milk from another species & that eating nothing but veggies/fibre makes pooping feel awesome, that us mere humans hadn't come this far in evolution to actually digest processed & prepared animal products... Even though it's practically mass consumed & produced across the globe.
I get the point he was trying to make. Eating veggies and other healthy foods is... Well, it's healthier than eating nothing but meat, dairy & other junk, of course. But I'm dead certain that we would know if our bodies were unable to digest them. Wouldn't there be some sort of violent immune response like vomiting if that was the case? Wouldn't common knowledge conclude that we were never designed to eat something that tastes so delicious? Wouldn't it be proven & supported by science & other studies?
You can be a vegan, but don't be a stupid vegan fuck who think's their always right & better than everyone else for eating rabbit food.
The key is moderation & balance. You can consume junk foods and enjoy them so long as you don't live off of their lack of nutrition. I don't fucking get why this isn't completely obvious as of this moment.

I dunno. When I was growing up my cat liked to eat grass. It was pretty cute. But yeah we gave her regular cat food. So I guess she had her meat and veggies.
If she ever got outside she was munching the grass though. Or if you picked some grass she'd eat it out of your hand. She just really liked eating grass for some reason.

I'm so glad I have the ability to prove my own point! there are other pseudo-hippie vegan stupid bullshit opinions out there but I wanted to tackle this one specifically... It's so absurd it hurts my brain.

That's a good point to bring up for sure. He probably already knows about it, he usually doesn't shower because he's a dirty hippie.

Yep. Such a calorie dense/energy rich food would probably be favored over a salad that couldn't be easily preserved on a long voyage in a ship.

I don't support self destructive hippie diets but dairy milk is fucking disgusting and you are scum if you drink it.
I don't give a shit if it's in cake or whatever. Straight up drinking it though is disgusting.

Preservation of food wasn't known to man since dawn of mankind. Meat could get rotten faster than vegetables, but meat was everywhere, in every living creature walking on this planet which was full of forests and thus animals living in them. It was easier for human to go to any forest and kill an animal, than to wander around steppes and plains in search of small self-bred vegetable and fruit aggregations. We did not know farming, so meat was our main source of food and without it we'd die. Roman diet was composed mainly of vegetables, fruits and bread, and they grew small and weaker compared to other civs and tribes. I know I'm living on planet Earth when I know, that some people are even too stupid to just draw the consequences from knowledge about historical facts.

Yet most explorers wouldn't have made any voyages anywhere or discovered anything had they not learned salt could be used as a preservative on meat. I don't think anything you're talking about is relevant, hun.

I'm a vegetarian, but there's nothing I fucking hate more than another vegetarian, or a vegan who thinks that they are somehow morally superior because they refuse to eat meat. It does nothing but make them look like a total dick head, and it gives everyone who doesn't eat meat a fucking horrible name. I don't give a shit if you like eating bacon, if you like bacon, that's fine, I don't like bacon, that is also fine. It does not put me in a position where I have to say "stop liking what I don't like".

Are we suddenly forgetting that human teeth have evolved with aspects of carnivore teeth? Are we suddenly forgetting that a healthy diet consists of both meat and veg? Do I need to even mention that according to science humans evolved with endurance abilities, which were originally used for chasing animals until the animal literally died of exhaustion? And that we have enzymes in our system for digesting meat? And we aren't the only animals that feed off of the milk of other animals?
People Vegan/Vegetarian preferences is like having dicks. It's OK to have them, it's OK to be proud of them, but please for the love of fucking god, do not try to forcefeed me them.

You are quite obviously falsely presenting a valid retort to the ubiquitously espoused meatism that "If we weren't mean to eat animals, they wouldn't taste so good/we wouldn't be able to digest them." Clearly, the same argument cannot apply to dairy given that vast numbers of the human population worldwide never have evolved the ability to digest lactose past infancy.
Given that even the most fervent pig-bollock fiends tend to accept that eating meat is avoidable and that its production therefore causes unnecessary suffering, yet present vegans as hippie nutters, it's a pretty decent argument insofar as playing the opposition on their own terms goes.

I'll correct you on that (the rest (the assertion children have starved to death through vegetarian diets notwithstanding) is just your stupid opinions that you're entitled to). The geographic prevalence (e.g. in China) of lactose intolerance throughout much of the world is not an allergy, but the inability to digest dairy compounds past infancy due to the lack of agricultural selection pressure.

Yes, evolution owing to particular industrialised and agricultural societies which I assume are not what people are referring to when they argue meat eating is something we've evolved to do naturally, given that there is absolutely no requirement to eat meat in that same industrialised, agricultural society.
Not sure what this pamphlet stuff is about to be honest with you. Just general whimsy?

To be fair, eating fiber can make pooping feel awesome and help keep your intestine healthy. But what was neglected is how eating too much can cause harm as well.
With that said, sucks to be you, no one deserves a fate of having a run in with a vegan.

The key word there is 'moderate'.
Most people eat way too much meat and dairy.
Yep, too much of anything can be a bad thing.
It's like when people argue that Mcdonalds is somehow brainwashing all sheeple into subconsciously wanting to eat it all the time because they use "salt, sugar and fat" as ingredients which is some sort of apparent "corporate secret". The reality is that those things just taste good and most people have the self-control to eat there when they want to. Because people want to eat things that taste good has nothing to do with some sort of subliminal brainwashing.
