The people at North Korea blames the Weatherman for not getting any rain in NK, because they have a drought there and they want to kidnap the Weatherman and bring him into prison. Is Kim-Jong un really that stupid? Share your thoughts in the comments below. I'm not making this up!

???
According to the CNN story, "Blaming outdated equipment and scientific method, the young leader stressed a need for accurate forecasts to protect people's lives and property from 'abnormal climatic phenomenon' (sic) and to safeguard industries like agriculture and fisheries from natural disasters in a timely manner, according to Rodong Sinmun." It's nothing unique, it's called "on the spot guidance" in the DPRK and was practiced by Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il, and now Kim Jong Un. It basically involves them going to random places and giving their opinion on how to make things run better, which supposedly inspires the workers and managers of those places to... make things run better.
I don't see anything about kidnapping weathermen or whatever.

when Kim Jong-Il was alive, DPRK citizens were told that the weather would change based on what mood Kim was in

The stories of all the wild propaganda from the DPRK becomes a lot less humorous when you learn that practically nobody acually believes it, yet everyone has to act like they do.

defector from north korea says otherwise
"I know their sincerity," she says, as she watches a group of soldiers sing and sway before Kim, their faces red with emotion and streaked with tears. "This is not a lie. It is not an act. It is real. If anything happens, they will give up their lives. They will even jump into fire."

You'd be amazed at how well state brain washing works, especially when the person is indoctrinated from birth,

No, he's not. Frankly the whole "I can't believe this country's dictator is so stupid" threads are irritating. You don't stay in power by being stupid. We underestimate Kim Jong-Un (or any dictator) at our own peril.
This is just another political action, like when he killed his uncle. Kim Jong-Un killed his uncle because he may have been a threat to his power. This weather debacle is Kim exercising his power just to show that he can. You don't stay dictator of a country without imposing your will a few times here and there, just so everybody knows who's in charge.

The soldiers in Pyongyang, sure. All the people in the cities on the outskirts? Not so much.

Back then in the early 90's the Berlin Wall was torn down by the USA, Russia was the USSR, which was controlled by Lenin then Joseph Stalin, 20 years later they still have communism, and making communism way more dumb and stupid, they still have communism in countries like North Korea, Russia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and other countries that have communism. He is.

How is the Democratic Republic of the Congo a "communist" country? The government is avowedly capitalist. Same thing with Russia.

No it was not. Like at all. The Berlin Wall was torn down by East and West Berliners, the USA had nothing to do with it.
Russia was the USSR
It was part of it, and even though Russian was the main language of the state it would never claim it's Russian anymore than it would claim it's Ukrainian, Kazakh Estonian etc. This is an important difference because the USSR was basically dead when Russia withdrew from the USSR leaving the USSR with no capital and no realistic way to survive.

And then by Kruschev, then by Brezhnev then by Androponov then by Chernenko then by Gorbachev.

Russia does not have Communism, people say that because the government is autocratic; but it's not Communist. There's no state control of industries (and arguably industries control the state). The DRC on the other hand no not at all. In the 60's the Communists nearly took power, but then the CIA overthrew them with a US friendly dictator named Mobutu. I know the name throws people off, but it's not Communist anymore than the People's Republic of Bangladesh is. Even if it were it wouldn't be able to enforce any Communist programs.

No, this isn't stupidity we are talking about. This is insanity. Imagine being ruled by a dictator who thinks he is a banana tree...
And this insane man is now complaining to the UN about the Seth Rogen/James Franco movie. Seriously.
Also, since the execution of his relatives, he has gotten fatter, with some sources indicating morbid obesity. Yup, the fattest guy in North Korea!
At the same time, though...
Kim Jong Un IS NOT RULING NORTH KOREA!
The rulers are known as the Organization and Guidance Department, and they call the shots. Kim Jong Un is just the face of the regime. The OGD that rules the country was a product of the previous Kim (Jong Il) to be the center of operations and make sure no citizen goes unmonitored.

Why in the heck are people so eager to believe that North Koreans are that stupid? Let me address two things:
Kim Jong Un isn't keeping North Korea's communist system because he truly believes it's best for his people. He's keeping it because it's efficient at keeping him in power, and most dictators are concerned about their security more than anything else.
Second, are you really expecting most North Koreans to, when asked, say "I know that's a bunch of garbage about Kim Jong Un being born in a log cabin with double rainbows,"? If they give even the slightest hint that they disagree, they and their family are killed. And after 60+ years of indoctrination, I wouldn't blame most North Koreans for thinking it's true - they were born and raised under the regime. They would probably think we in the West are crazy because we support democracy, because that's what we've all been raised to believe in.

Even though just showing a video is not an argument at all, I watched it anyway. Nothing in the video has convinced me that he is crazy. Flamboyant, sure. Loves his grandfather? Yeah, a little too much. But he is above all, a rational actor whose reign is in no danger.
I think you are confusing the term inconsiderate with crazy. I don't believe Kim Jong Un really cares about his people, either. But that doesn't make him crazy. Joseph Stalin, Mao, and Lenin were all brutal rulers, like the Kim dynasty. But none of them were crazy, because none of them did anything that endangered their own rule.

I remember how his reign (well the family in general) was compared to 1984 and it made me wonder what exactly the Party in that book would do if there were natural disasters that no one had any control over.
I guess I found my answer!

He shows propaganda of the US in flames. Big deal. He's not launching any attacks, so what does it matter if he shows his people that propaganda? Anything to convince the North Koreans that he is all powerful and is not to be opposed. All dictators did the same thing; doesn't mean they're insane. The Allies showed videos of Berlin and Tokyo in flames during WWII too. Does that make them insane?

While WW2 was there, Japan bombed Pearl Habor which we didn't do anything to them in the first place, then we joined WW2 to take down Both Hiroshima Hitler, Germany, and Japan, in a result that the allies won the war which resulted Hitler to commit suicide.

North Korea and South Korea never signed an official peace treaty ending the Korean War so they two countries are still technically at war today. For a guy who's supposed to be so fantatical, he certainly hasn't done anything violent in a situation where he simply could. You really don't have to worry about him invading other countries, he's too busy suppressing his own people.

The U.S didn't "take down" the germans, the soviet union did 95% of the work, the U.S just wanted control of western europe after the war.
