better than the anime?

I mean the movies had cool plots like them trying to run away in this decaying city where a pokemon goes crazy and tries to kill everything, what movie was that?

They had more money to spend on the movies than the anime.

If the movie was worse than a set of stand-alone stories of 30 mins, I doubt they would even release it, because it would be a disaster for such a media franchise as pokemon (media franchise was the best term I could find for pokemon).

You really expect a bunch of limited episodes to be better than a movie that can unfold in a far longer span of time?
