With three confirms out of the four. I think I'm ready to announce my team and the game.

@Bcadren (me) @Astranime and @TheDarthMoogle (Someone I recruited from r/GameDevClassifieds on Reddit that just created a Newgrounds account for this).

Still need the last person; have some prospects, but haven't confirmed anything yet. Primarily looking for an additional artist; but may accept a writer. Given the random generation throughout; I'm not sure what a writer would do (probably things related to fleshing out and backstory; won't be much in terms of dialog).

Working title for the game is "Dungeons of Nemelex Xobeh" and single paragraph pitch:

"You (the player) are a high roller gambler, who has heard of a high stakes ‘tournament,’ inside of a mysterious towering casino; which is supposedly owned by the god of gambling, himself, Nemelex Xobeh. All you know is that a ‘high-stakes card game’ could lead to you getting 50,000 troy ounces (5,000 bars) of gold. The catch? Your stake in the tournament is your life. You are given you choice of 8 starting decks and enter the tower. These cards are real magic, summoning creatures and unleashing attacks and the ‘game’ is battling your way through tower, using your magic cards against magical creatures, machines and henchmen within. Deck management and building strategy is the key in this Deckbuilding Roguelike."

I'm treating '4' as a sacred number. As many things as possible will be multiples of 4; Max HP values, cards in your hand (4); maximum cards in a deck (64 [4³]) maximum level on most skills (256 [4⁴]). This is similar to 3 in a lot of games the hex value FF in Final Fantasy; 27 in DCSS; 42 in ADOM, etc.

id say something minimalistic like this would be best, no need to draw actual people, just the figures which are supposed to ressemble the people, but I dunno how to work em around to look more clear on what theyre supposed to represent

Doing a spacey side-scroller that's all about the audio/visual experience. Making the artwork as breathtaking as possible, and the music as immersive. Already have Maestrorage on board, and Kamikaye if we can source a reputable coder. I will be doing the character animation, foreground art and producing.

We need a coder that has a good understanding of circular mechanics within AS3. Like, there's going to be a lot of orbiting and rotating through the x/z plane, for some more interesting parallaxing.

If you're a coder with proven experience, and are willing to try some more experimental approaches to accomplish some really dynamic environmental visuals, send me a message.

It's not going to be crazy hard stuff, as I know how the mechanics would work and have ironed a lot of it down already, so that it's the most accomplishable. I don't want to scare anyone off thinking it's going to be this massive, huge amount of work. We just need someone who knows what they're doing.

Once we have someone, I think we'll make for a team with a pretty worthwhile team.
