You need another year's worth of ban to get the shit knocked outta you.
I didn't know sports had "bitch-ass fanboys."
I thought sports had "fans", that was it.
I'm not an athletic person.
I hate competitive sports.
But you don't see me looking for ridiculous reasons to hate on it and post about it on a forum do you?

Obviously you have only my word to promise you this, but I bet I can name every country - in order - that has the won the FIFA World Cup since its first tournament in 1930 without looking them up. Maybe one or two of these is wrong, in which case someone can ridicule me for it, that would show I'm not just copying Wikipedia. My dad made me a World Cup nerd. I thank him for that.
Uruguay, Italy, Italy, Uruguay, West Germany, Brazil, Brazil, England, Brazil, West Germany, Argentina, Italy, Argentina, West Germany, Brazil, France, Brazil, Italy, Spain.
The hosts were (in the same order): Uruguay, Italy, France, Brazil, Switzerland, Sweden, Chile, England, Mexico, West Germany, Argentina, Spain, Mexico (originally intended to be Colombia), Italy, USA, France, South Korea/Japan, Germany, South Africa (and coming soon, Brazil, Russia and (maybe!) Qatar).

You'd like that, now, wouldn't you? But it's far too late. The gays have already invaded your sport and are slowly and gradually taking it apart one by one.
Two: What the fuck is Hockey? The only good thing about that game is when they beat the shit out of eachother.

you don't seem to understand what I said because you World Cup nerds lose the point of the opposite opinion from someone else. What I meant with everyone will forget who won in 2 weeks I meant that it wasn't relevant or important. The whole point of my post was to say it wasn't relevant. All I really see in watching soccer in a screen is little men kicking a white spot to a webby goal, yea, really fun to watch.

No, I understand if you don't like the World Cup or any other big sporting event. As with almost anything, it's best not to let a single thing guide your entire personality in such a way that "lose the point of the opposite opinion".
Maybe it's not "relevant or important" in the grand scheme of things, but I wrote fairly recently about some reasons why I enjoy watching it and learning about the history (like I illustrated above; though a real "World Cup nerd" would point to something like the Football War as to how far-reaching a spark the sport - or any sport - can be).
Besides, I don't like dismissing things on the basis of their "importance", because then what am I supposed to be passionate about? I love literature and film (far, far more than I love football), and I know a lot of people will scoff at that because they're "unimportant" areas. I don't buy the whole "passionate about not being passionate" line. If the "important" things in the world seem to largely serve to make me miserable, then I'll take my unimportant things where and when I can.
As for it not being "fun", well, that has to be down to taste, surely? I was taken to my first game in September 1996 (Queens Park Rangers versus Bolton Wanderers, as a Bolton fan... Bolton won 2-1!) and while I've drifted in and out of it all since, spending a good deal of my life with it has attuned me to its drama and all that. I think it's fun.

Football (soccer) is popular because its so easy to pick up and play nearly anywhere by anyone, but can become extremely complex at higher levels, with all its meta meta meta, emphasis on defence, formations and individual skill + team chemistry. Managing a world class football team is probably one of the hardest jobs in the world.

Well that's your opinion, but with me, total different thing here. I don't like sports cause I don't know how they work. I ain't willing figure out how they work, because, they don't seem to interest me somehow. Sure, playing sports atleast once in a while, or to work out is great, but I'd have to be in a really good mood (which is with alot of energy) to play sports. I could care less about a sport. I just interest myself on the things that will help me on my future life like my career (which is astronomy) I do take alot of unimportant things on my life though, but things like sports, ain't important to me. We all got opinions here, but admit it, sports ain't an important thing, it's not helping the crisis on Venezuela, or the Ucraine crisis, or the global warming. I understand just because something doesn't seem important to someone doesn't mean it's boring but still, it ain't important. Watch all the soccer you want, but I don't want to know anything about it.

hey hey, listen, this thread was made by someone who hates soccer too, so YOU are the one who should leave, not me. I just found someone with the same opinion I had and I replied to him telling him he wasn't the only one. Besides, we got freedom of speech in here, and I will say what I want and be wherever I want whether you want it or not, I was just stating my opinion which I have rights to.

But surely you can say this about my ambitions to write or make films, surely you can say that about the time I spend writing about books and films. There's a massive debate spanning centuries as to what the purpose of art actually is, but it's hard to say that it's for helping the horrible things that happen in the world. How can it, when art is timeless and these things require immediate, specific reactions? Art is still very close to me, even if we live in an era when nothing supposedly means anything, apart from the few select things deemed important enough to have a purpose on the Internet.
Maybe me writing alone in my room doesn't "require" a major corporate-backed body like the World Cup, maybe that's the big point because football seems to take up more time and effort that could be spent on mediating Venezuela. That's a society thing in general though, as opposed to something inherently attached to sports. I enjoy football, but I don't necessarily agree with its mounting financial costs or its detrimental effects on non-corporate life. You don't enjoy football, nor do you like the above. That's understandable on both counts.
Watch all the soccer you want, but I don't want to know anything about it.
Fair enough, but it's still the world's most popular sport so there are inherently a lot of people who do want to know about it, especially during the one big tournament that's truly global.
Opinions are fine, I enjoy exchanging them like we have. But I'm not comfortable with filtering what is and isn't important. Maybe I'm selfish for finding my things "more important" than global warming, but I'm hardly alone, and thinking it is hardly a 21st century thing (think of all the comically self-concerned people in Chekhov). If I had to think of ways to counteract Putin over Ukraine at each moment of the day, I think I'd kill myself. And I like being alive, for the moment.

Of course, anyone could tell me that I'm wasting my time being interested in the things I'm interested. That would make me sad though.
