"Best car" is such a silly thing to talk about. The whole point of a free market is that "best" can mean almost any attribute of a car: gas mileage (tesla), 0-60 (motorcycles), grip (18-wheelers), top speed (airplanes), ownership costs (Grand Theft Auto), you name it.
The other problem is that nobody takes budget into account. So it's just a pretty silly discussion to have... also, tastes change over time. I would never want a veryon to own... if you ever hit the top speed you need to replace the tires (which cost $30,000 / tire). But I would love to drive any car on a one-off basis.
Anyway, with all that out of the way, I really like the Audi TT quattro sport (or the TT RS). The 420 horsepower it makes is incredible, considering it's produced from a 2 liter, 4 cylinder engine. And I like the form-factor of tiny coupes. Honestly, I would own a cooper mini if it made 300 horsepower. Those cars are fun to drive.

It sucks that Dodge is possibly going to stop production on the Challenger if they start making the Barracuda.
