Senior year ended yesterday, and...

I can honestly say I'm glad it's all over. My parents have always told me that high school would be the "golden years" of my life, but honestly, they were the worst 4 years of my life that I'll never get back. The only things I've gotten out of high school were ending the bullies bullying me (it was really bad, I got jumped one time and my lip was bleeding really bad) by starting my training in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu, I got closer to my now best friend, and the best thing, I finger-banged my first girl. Other than that, everything my parents told me about high school was a complete lie, how they were the "best four years."

Thoughts? How was high school for you guys?

And if anyone is wondering, I graduate on June 11. :)

Definitely have to find a way to make some money to go to college. I'm just gonna go to a community college not far from home here in the city, I wanna major in Technology and become a Computer Systems Analyst.

3 days left until i'm done with my junior year and i'm getting my license in 4 days, so senior year ought to be fun for me. There are no words for the joy I feel knowing i'll never really need to ride the school bus again.

Cool shit, just be careful with community college, I hope it turns out better for you but it kind of is high school part deuce. You do make some new friends though, and even get closer to some people you went to high school with.

Besides the STDs... Or not. And I'm only going to Com. College because I'm broke and I was too stupid to get a scholarship, I'm only getting a standard diploma and sadly I didn't qualify for the scholarships I applied for... FAFSA and debt here I come.

Eventually I wanna get out of Las Vegas (where I live) and head out to California, somewhere not far from the beach. And being a systems tech only requires 2 years so I'm just gonna stay and do my time in a smaller college

High school was so-so for me. I stopped talking to a lot of close friends and just got to being really antisocial since people didn't want to hang out with me anymore.

Cool. I currently live in Buffalo, New York, and I'm heading to Syracuse next year to attend an environmental school called SUNY-ESF.

It's a pretty competitive school, which just means more debt for me. Sweg.

Also I might get my Master's, so I got a good 4-6 years of school ahead of me. Good shit. I think ESF ought to be fun though should everyone not be a carbon-copy hippie.

I probably would go for a Master's too, but I'm just so burned out... At one point, I told my mom I didn't want to go to school anymore and she lit a fire in my ass and told me "don't end up like your sister." And that's a whole different, hilarious story lol

Highschool can be pretty fun, the problem is that your parents went to school back when social media never existed, cars were easy to work on, and drug and alcohol culture wasn't such a stigma, in fact it was a part of our culture back then as much as it is now, but with much less legal implications.

People didn't have telephones in their rooms or hardly in their houses, or the internet. So people were naturally more social in a face to face way, leading to more interactions and carefree environments in my opinion.

Forget about it, I hate it... Honest advice, get a job where you won't have to work past like 8 or 8:30 at night so you have some time to relax and study. My first semester I was still at McDonald's and doing 3-11 everyday after going to school, and then eating my Saturdays there too. Try to give yourself one weekend day off, luckily I usually had Sunday off.

With my new job, I work Saturdays and Sundays which I regret. It's manageable now that it's summer but I'm going to be a miserable fuck when I go back to school, I'm sure of it...

I definitely need a new job. Mine is seasonal. While I did get a raise to 8.75, right now in the summer at a plant store, I'm lucky if I get 20 hours a week, if that... It's rough.

The internet was just getting off the ground when I was in high school and I still hated it. Golden years? Bullshit. College was one of the best times of my life, I'd say.
