Yes. I got my name changed. Took about a year of bugging Tom to do it. I guess so that
1. Make sure you really want the change.
2. Make sure you wont ask for another in the future.

It's not a simple process, if I remember correctly, but, look at me. I haven't been here in years, and just randomly decided to pop-up and answer your question. I remember back when we could change our names whenever we liked.

There was a time period when I first signed up that you can change it yourself WHENEVER you want. I had a pretty bad one, so I changed it to this when I was really young and then they got rid of that feature so I'm stuck with this name. I don't mind though, it's not too bad.

And at that time Wade would get raped with PMs, but not anymore. He responds more often now.

Sure, but you need some seniority first.

You can PM Wade about it, but be sure to get active first, I get the impression he won't do it for someone that asks a favor of him and leaves within a week (wasn't he banned tho? hehe).

So vote on a couple submissions you see every day, lurk in the BBS for a while and then get back to him, worked for me!

But I remember Tom&Wade changed my username about 3 times, and 1 of them was when Wade was in Google+ hangout, I just casually asked him and he did. He's a cool guy.

Usernames are a big deal.

I PM'd Tommy about mine way back when and he changed it licketysplit. Shouldn't be an issue so long as the one you want doesn't belong to an active account.

I got mine changed like 8 minutes after sending a PM to Wade. I still can't believe it. :O

there arent particular rules as far as i can tell
the wiki/faq say about the name changes: please do not abuse this privilege
there really should be a number of times you are allowed to change it
some users have said they got it changed multiple times.
some say 2-4x. and iv read through this thread
and asking a lot makes sense because keeping track of the users gets exhausting if it was done often enough.
but i dont see issues if you ask 3-4 times and thats the limit.

And I thought up until now that the only way to get it changed was through fellatio. And I changed it a few times. I think maybe Wade lied to me.
