You know those retards that get Pontiac fieros and then make them look like exotic cars.
Well they are retards
Possibly the best feature of the fiero is its looks custom ones are cool but ones that look like completely different cars?
So what these idiots are doing is getting a cool looking car with not as good of an engine and turning it into a car that not only is kind of slow but is also ugly or at least fake.
Here is a pic to prove my point i found it on Wikipedia
I think its a fiero gt

what people do with their belongings is up to them, and your opinion of their work is subjective.
Personally i think this fiero transformation is amazing; it looks very polished, and you can't even tell it was a fiero at one point. Not that I'd ever want to drive or own it, but the workmanship is of arguably high quality. Admit it, there are way worse modifications out there you can make to a car.

I can see that. And it does take talent to make those but at the same time i think the stock fiero is better.
Also (still you make a good point) they just seem to fake to me even if they are beautiful

What happened to creativity, people?
You think you can afford a Ferrari as soon as you move out or something?
Nah, you might wanna make your crappy car look less crappy at least. Better than driving a smoke-farting junkyard on wheels.

That is a fair opinion no doubt, yet I still think you're missing the point of these; they're intended to be projects for show, not to compete directly with a lambo, try and improve the initial looks of a fiero or to cheaply replicate a lambo and pass it off as one.
The whole point of it was to flex his modification skills on a project car, maybe to turn some heads or get people talking about it. The whole thing could even be tongue in cheek but I somewhat doubt it.
P.S. I like minor modifications to it like spoilers rims etc. Even slight body kits.
That's fair.

Wow you just made some of the most fair points ever.
But the whole point of this post was not about fake exotics i meant Why (other than the easy to mos space frame design) choose the fiero. Why cant they pick an ugly car to do this to like do that to a k-car or something

For a couple of reasons. I can't be sure, but my main guesses would be it's a cheap, lightweight, easily modifiable midengine sportscar that due to it's popularity at the time has a large abundance of parts available on the market and a community dedicated to the fiero, still to this day. I think one big reason this car is chosen for kit conversions over others is it's completely fiberglass body panels; they're not part of the actual structure of the car and it's purely cosmetic, meaning the car could essentially be driven without any body.
And why use a K-car? Fiero's are designed to be fun, zippy little sports cars. A K car is a vehicle designed strictly for transporting werthers originals and licorice all sorts from the grocer to the retirement home. No fun at all. Not to mention, the K car's body is not as easily modifiable as a fiero's.
Not every car has a community or an abundance of parts and pre-made modifications/kits.

I understand. Now i wish another fun easy to modify car would come so they dont change this one.
Im beating a dead horse here (Wait this is new grounds clubbing a dead seal would be proper) but i just wonder isnt there another space frame design sports car out there.
The reason i said k car is not cause its a good car its rather hideous witch is why i would think literally turning it into a different car would be for the sake of humanity even if harder to do.
Had they made the 1989 fiero prototype the irony is people would likely get the 1984 fiero and make it look like a 1989 fiero
Anyway does it have an abundance of parts?
And last but not least I am glad i have made a fiero topic where no one has spammed about 0.7% of the 1984 model catching fire.
(It should be noted that the last sentence by coincidence not on purpose references 2 books catching fire and 1984)
Heres the 89 prototype.
Sadly its rumored to be scraped :( (Cries for atleast 48 hours)

You can polish a turd and put sprinkles on it, but it's still a turd. I don't think K-cars are very reliable cars, either. People who mod cars would probably prefer to mod something at least worth their time and effort. I personally don't know much about cars; I get most of what I know from my dad's extensive knowledge... also Regular Car Reviews on youtube. I think his reviews can have genuinely hilarious moments.
Anyway does it have an abundance of parts?
The K platform was mass produced under many different Chrysler brands, with many variants to it's basic structure to accommodate for suitable body styles. The Dodge Aries, for example, is one of the more popular variants of the K platform. It was a car made to be cheap to produce and sell, and the K platform along with L. Iacocca single-handedly saved Chrysler from their own demise. The engine in a dodge aries, for example, is also shared amongst many other chrysler makes. I'm sure finding parts for these cars wouldn't be challenging.
